Re: Life Changes

Wow, randomly looking through old threads and found this one. We've been together almost two and a half years now. :)

Re: Singer Wanted!

Alright cool. I'm pretty sure I typed that right after a contracts lecture  My teacher's got me paranoid about copyright, etc.

Re: Singer Wanted!

Hopefully all paperwork involved will be sorted out as well. I'd hate to be involved in this and contribute something (i.e. lyrics and singing, or being you, the music) and have the other person go...

Re: Cover Song I'm Working On

Squier Strat w/ DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge, running through various patches on my Line6 Flextone II (60-watt 1x12 combo). I think it's two tracks (left and right, recto and Insane) and...

Re: are you against downloading music?

I voted no, but it's a conditional thing:

I'm against downloading music exclusively. I have no problem with downloading music to preview it and decide if it's worth buying because there's simply...

Cover Song I'm Working On

I posted this at sevenstring.org already, but thought I'd pass it along here since I've posted things here before and gotten comments.

This is something I've been working on for a while. I may be...

Re: A tip i want to share to college bound students

My advice for college students:

1) Don't be stupid. It's not cool, it's just stupid.
2) There's nothing wrong with doing the work and actually wanting to do something with your life.
3) Turn...

Re: exorcism of emily rose

...and that's a problem? I can't stand movies that are gory for no reason. If it's meant to be funny (Monty Python) or meaningful (Saving Private Ryan) I don't mind, but too many movies these days...

Re: Rockstar:Inxs

I'm glad JD won, because I'm not an INXS fan, and I hated JD. He was completely fake and had no personal style of his own. Marty on the other hand I really want to see release an album (I also...

Re: koRn's new stringslinger?

I definitely think this will lead to a new direction. From what I've heard from Munky, Head was holding him back from trying new things. Munky wanted to try adding solos to their songs, but Head...

Re: Vai a skater???

As for Vai, I seem to remember reading somewhere that the stickers on his guitar were basically just whatever stickers he could find.

Re: Any Zappa fans?

I haven't heard as much Zappa as I'd like to, but what I've heard I've really enjoyed.

Re: Who's The Worst Guitarist Ever????????

Well, that's just immature, stupid, and disgusting.

And this whole thread's not a huge amount better.

If any of you become famous, it's likely we'll be sitting here with someone saying how...

Re: Solo Recordings

Thanks :D The droning guitars are my Strat on the neck/middle setting with the EBow, using a clean tone with a slight chorus and lots of reverb. Basically using a Nine Inch Nails trick through a...

Re: Scracthed CDs

I don't leave CDs in the car as it's not my car (my parents car, which the whole family uses lol) but even then I tend to use burned copies for the car or taking with me anywhere, leaving the...

Re: Iron Maiden - "The Early Days" DVD

Or maybe it is stupidity, in the form of them thinking that the one guy did all the solos, so they would always cut to the same guy when there was a solo being played, thinking he's "the" lead...

Re: Spare change, anyone?

Funny, a Matchless amp is on my "mus have eventually" list  I already use the Matchless model on my Flextone II for most of my lead stuff.

Re: Do you record at loud or low volumes?

Personally, here's how I record amps:

Tube - Loud as possible
Digital (like my Line6) - quiet
