Re: Covid, and you.

That's what you get when you have such strong leadership. When the buck is passed to each state and county system to make up their own rules. FDR had a sign on his desk that rings true to this day,...

Re: Hum not being bucked on PGM90

I can't see anything else and they're way out of the database but it would have had a VLX91 switch originally.

Re: Hum not being bucked on PGM90

That's not even an Ibanez switch.

Re: Hum not being bucked on PGM90

The hum is probably coming from a bad solder job on the non original switch, or a grounding issue.

Re: Covid, and you.

It just illustrates a primary factor, large gatherings are not safe, because people for the most part, are idiots. You have the my right to not wear a maskers, the up your ass no social distancers,...

Re: Possible Edge III replacements 2020

The strap anchor is held on with 2 cover screws in the middle and slips right out. It would not have been original so there would be your problem. It didn't start production until 2005.

Re: Possible Edge III replacements 2020

I can't surmise, but I've sold well over 100 of them as ED3 replacements and not a single negative comment about fit. But they are not cheap and you're still using the sh!t ED3 studs unless you do...

Re: Possible Edge III replacements 2020

It's been long established an edge pro is a direct replacement, and there are no string lock screws sticking out, they're on top of the trem. If the block touches something inside a little relieving...

Re: 1987 jem 777 pink, repaint ?

Disclosed, you wouldn't get the cost of the restore back, because you can't just restore paint. Anything you put on an old guitar that's new, makes what's next to it look like sh!t. You either do it...

Re: Ibanez Pia weird issues

Nobody should be surprised any guitar needs a fret level out of the box. Nothing is immune, it's wood.

Tapping frets down MOST of the time just creates another low spot you can chase all over the...

Re: Protective film on Control covers

Nothing on the con and jack covers, hit and miss on the trem covers. If there's a rhyme I don't know the reason.

Re: JS2PRM Chromeboy...should I sell or should I keep???

Necro resurrection.

Good a time as any to say the only PRM's worth keeping are the ones finished Mizuno the only way you can tell is the rear covers have blue plastic protective film. If been...

Re: Ibanez Pia weird issues

Your JEMs should have been the same. Most of them will leave the claw about 3/8" from the wood with 9's and the threads are already fully inside. Because you're breaking new ground in the wood is...

Re: Ibanez Pia weird issues

Maxed out means the claw is flush against the wood, which I doubt it is. but you can prove me wrong.

Re: Ibanez Pia weird issues

I don't know why anybody thinks buying a guitar from a dealer online is going to be setup "out of the box" unless it's supposed to be included when you buy it. I don't anywhere on MF, AMS, ZZ, show...

Re: Protective film on Control covers

Yup, paper. You'll see that on UVMC's that were bought more to collect and left everything original.

Re: For sale: Dimarzio's and electronics from 1990 Universe

They were probably slightly different to begin with and aged different from there, or, could be the seller myth, never know what truth is these days, so much is fake ;)

Re: Protective film on Control covers

Your 550 probably had brown paper protective on it which wears into looking like crappy anything, which doesn't come off.

It's kinda hit and miss, I don't remember when I see it or not, Indo...

Re: For sale: Dimarzio's and electronics from 1990 Universe

I asked Dimarzio techs about that long ago and they said it was manufacturing. That a few degrees of humidity change and the color would come out slightly different. That was long long ago and I...

Re: Are there going to be summer models?

Simply, no. There is no summer NAMM and I remember my rep saying something about everything is just too crazy, there's nothing normal about this year.

Re: Has Anyone ever seen this finish,RARE 1989 RG570 rarest finish I’ve seen, so far

That's H&S so that was painted in LA.

Never heard of the color or seen one. Probably seen but I scroll right past anything I don't handle. There are much wiser encyclopedia's on here than I when...

Re: Has Anyone ever seen this finish,RARE 1989 RG570 rarest finish I’ve seen, so far

You see all kinds of marks, right now you'll see black sharpie lines under the springs in the cavity. Same difference, just says something was finished or approved or whatever. Until somebody from...
