Re: NGD- Modded 570

I really dig the white pups and gold hardware too that wine-red body... excellent choice! But you should have a white strap for it ;)

Re: Picked up a RG1570!

Those pickups arent stock, the best way to tell is to gently take them out and flip em (if you have enough spare cable on the pick up) and see which serial they have. They look to be Dimarzio pickups...

Re: Ibanez S420. bridge post wobble in the ZR trem, fix?

I know there isn't any original stud for ZR trem with set screw... All the anchor screws wobble if they aren't locked. Even thou FR studs wobble less for some reason but they're aren't locking. So...

Re: Ibanez S420. bridge post wobble in the ZR trem, fix?

It's just normal for an non-locking stud to wobble. If you have an complex over it, drill and tap them for an set screw.

Re: Edge Zero tremolo arm issue

I have two guitars with EZ, standard tuning with 10's and I still thinks it's too sloppy... There must be another issue at work here then the trem itself.

Re: Ibanez Top Lock Screws Size ?

If you mean the screws for the pressure pads they're regular hex-screws: M4 8mm long. Measured on my top lock for Edge Zero

Re: Loving my 1550M

Gotta love the maple fretboard... I can't get enough of maple fb with non-matching headstock. Just so classy! =)

Re: G string sustain

But have you actually checked the intonation on your g-string with a tuner? If that's the case perhaps you have a dead string... Try changing it and see if the problem remains. What kind of bridge do...

Re: Advice Welcom On RG350DX vs. RG450DX

I can recommend Guitar Pro 6. It's tablature editor with playback options, with multiple tracks. Say if you wan't to learn Holy Diver (we all want to) you just download the guitar pro tab...

Re: Advice Welcom On RG350DX vs. RG450DX

MIJ = Made In Japan

Older Ibanez guitar doesn't have the prestige logo (which is made in Japan as well as the J-Custom (of course!))

Therefore you have to check if the guitar is made in...

Re: Advice Welcom On RG350DX vs. RG450DX

I personally think if you really want to up the ante you should go for a used prestige... Dosen't matter if it's equipped with Edge, lo pro edge, Edge Pro or the Edge Zero. They'll all make a major...

Re: NGD and locking stud question

The OE and Lo Pro have locking studs. So does the EZ, that's one big reason why Ibanez are great trem-designers.

Edge Pro is great for one reason and that's the intonation point/sound chip...

Re: NGD and locking stud question

I've done the locking stud mod on my guitar (RG2620) with edge pro... It makes a lot of difference.

First you need new locking studs.. You can use the ones that is for the Original Edge, they'll...

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

If your block doesn't touch the bar in your current setup the zps springs don't add any tension to trem until you make a dive.

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

Glad to hear that =) And I'm also intrested in hearing peoples opinions about this issue, I posted my thread about my mod a long time ago so I'd really like an discussion about it.

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

And I'm not telling anybody how they should set up their Edge-Zeros with zps, just stating my opinion about it and what I have done. Each to their own.

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

Well, I can tell you this; When set-up like I've done with a custom rod you really get the best of both worlds. The trem acts like a fixed bridge cause the zps springs counter all sort of flutter...

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

The reason you have the stopbar is to avoid unintentionally flutter and always have a set point where the trem return to after the dive. You can't have this if bar isn't touching the trem. And the...

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

No you shouldn't have to do that but sadly sometimes there's so much gap between the rod and block when trem is parallel that's not even possible to use the zps system. And for perfect set-up the rod...

Re: Adjusting Zero Point (ZPS3)

The Edge Zero is a superior trem when used without the zps system. But if you care to do the mod I suggested above, it's even a better trem. I have one guitar fully floating and one with a custom...
