Re: Coming back to the JS line

Oh man, I do like that guitar. I know a lot of people bitch about the non-matching headstock, but I'd take it. Nice guitar!! I've got one of its fixed bridge siblings:

Re: 8 string new? Nah its old hat!

Well, when demand exceeds supply, that is generally favorable for the manufacturer, as they're not sitting on stock they can't sell. Did you take economics at all?

Wow, I've been away for a little...

Re: Ibanez 8 string another shot in the foot for Ibanez?

Dude, you've got to be just trollin' here. First of all.....where's the hardtail option? It's installed. FX Edge is a hardtail.

A swirl? Multiple color options? It's good to see the flex...

Re: Vista: How to unmute your line in??!

Wow, clearly you have a limited understanding of OSX. Yeah, it's easy. It's also very powerful, and quite suitable for a power user.

Re: Question about RGT resale price

I kinda doubt you're going to get $500 for a used MIK RG. Despite the recent increase in Korean quality, they still don't hold their value as much as MIJ stuff.

Re: My Line6 Variax Acoustic Review

Yeah, a hot setup would be to pick off a cheap 300 from Evilbay and then get a really nice neck and body from Warmoth. Kinda pricey, but damn cool.

IMO the Variax stuff really came into its own...

Re: Pod 2.0 vs JSX recorded

Okay, how about a recording from the line out on the JSX to the POD disabling the amp model but keeping the speaker modeling? :D

Re: trading in my js1000

Actually, he'll hate the N4 specifically, if he hates the JS. They're different, but still from the same side of the tracks.

Re: tube amp

Valveking, then swap the speakers and the tubes. Still cheaper than most everything else, and it sounds great.

Re: Why is the Pod XT Live so cheap ?

You've already covered why the Live is cheaper. Inputs/Outputs in the case of the Pro, and dual amp blending and included models in the Vetta.

That's why a lot of guys just run a Live into a...

Re: Line6 Pod pro vs. Line6 Pod XT Pro

Have you upgraded the firmware on the XT? I've got the latest version....no fizz to speak of, and it's definitely a better sounding modeler than the POD Pro or bean.

Re: New Amp came in today anyone else use a Peavey ValveKing 2x12

I have the VK100 with an Avatar 2x12 with V30's. Great sounding amp, and world's better with Celestions. the VK speakers suck, no offense. It's money well spent to swap them for V30's or something,...

Re: RG 7420 bridge

Not without a fair amount of routing, I imagine. Better to just find a OFR7.....which are also pretty rare.

There are decent ones, but be sure to play the EXACT one you plan on buying. Or just get a Schecter. :D

Re: RG 7321 changes for 2007?

The strings have always been through the body on it. Unfortunately it's been made in Indonesia since at least 2005. That's the improvement they should make: move production back to Korea.

Re: Anyone hear about this Radio Contest?

irony indeed. I suspect there will be some fallout from it even with the signed releases, but probably not nearly enough as one would expect. Not that any amount of money can replace a human life,...

I wonder how well that waiver is going to hold up in court, since one instance resulted in death.

Re: NEW Petrucci Seven Strings

I don't really think that's a rule, as you'll see a lot of people running them both ways. There's not a "wrong" way to have it installed.

To the OP: your friend is a douchebag. Please relay that message. Oh yeah, I almost forgot: James Hetfield used a 7-string on St. Anger.
