I was just wondering, from a technique standpoint, once you get used to playing 7 string does it feel weird to go back to 6 string and vice versa, or is it just like you can switch modes almost as if playing two different instruments?
I remember trying a j custom, in a music store a while back. It was kind of a see through red/orange wood top, if i remember correctly.
It had a super wide neck, it almost felt like a 7-8 string neck, but it was just a regular 6 stringer.
I have never felt a 6 string neck that wide before...

. . . . . . I think I played the PERFECT guitar for you guys!
It's the Jackson Adrian Smith SDX. Good pickups, resonant body, plays like a dream and is built to last! Tremolo isn't the best but it wasn't s**t either!
Hello guys! I'm buying a fairly nice Jackson from a good friend of mine for $300 and I would like to know what model it is so that I can look further into it. Yes, I do have a picture. Only one though. This thing looks very similar to an SL1 but I know that it's not.
Sparkley black finish...
This just came up on craigslist...
What's everyone think? Does anyone know the brand? or is it custom made?
I emailed him, called him and texted him trying to get info about it, I'm yet to get a response.
I'll update it as I go.
Alright everyone, I'm back with another guitar that I need help identifying. A Relative might be sending me a guitar that he doesn't use very often. Since he doesn't play guitar. The neck of the guitar says;
I'm pretty sure that's the headstock and not what's stamped on the back...
. . . . . . .and MY GOD it was comfy!!! the neck was ALMOST as nice as my super wizard. and the ebony board wasnt ugly at all (like they are on the carvin website. anyone ever notice that?). they have it for $550 used at guitar center of all places. although, today was the best day ive ever had...
I remember seeing an Ibanez with mirror body and a mirror pickguard, it looked really cool, I think they guy said it was a UV7 or something, and it was very expensive, does anyone knows what model I am talking about?
And also, if someone knows, how much should it cost if brand new?
Picked up a guitar yesterday. Went to Guitar Center to have them tell me something about it and they were pretty much stumped.
All they could tell me is that it was probably a 1960's guitar and that it was made in Japan (says it on the back).
It's a Kingston, in pretty good shape.
