I'll be posting the advancements of the chrome vine inlay into my BRMR in this thread.
We're now at phase 1, which is pulling the dots and the frets and filling up the (dot) holes with epoxy resin. So there isn't an awful lot to see yet, but it's a start...
Where would be some good reputable places IN THE USA/CANADA to get some custom pyramids/vine inlay work done now that Jeremy is still backlogged?
I've hit a few of the sponsored link here and projectguitar and none of them seem to advertise custom inlay work on an existing neck.
I have a brand...

Hi I am new here , I've always seen "what is the best jem.... what is the most beautifull jem ....etc"
BUT my question is :
What is the most "ugly" or least attractive in Jem series ? (in playing and design)
(Dont tell me jem555 !!for me they dont have their place in Jem series)
You can post...
I just got my Jem77BRMR today and I'm so happy.
The mirror top is really cool up close and I really like the neck 5 piece neck too.
It's really light as well. I compared t to my 2003 Jem VWH and it is a tank compared to the new BRMR, but of course the VWH is Alder and the new BRMR is...
I think the Bad Horsie Jem is a beautiful instrument. But I have to ask this... WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS INSTRUMENT WITHOUT A VINE INLAY IN THE NECK? Imagine that instrument with a chrome vine inlay. Or perhaps since it IS the "Bad Horsie" guitar, use the basic vine pattern, but make it barbed wire...
I have a Jem7DBK, and dont like the screwhead inlays much... I wanted to get the chrome vine put on, but want to search around the find the best prices. The only place i could find was LGM guitars.. They lookin like they do a great job but for over $300 im a bit aprehensive... anyone know of...
That guy on Ebay in the UK has actually got the FIRST new model 'CHROME JEM' in stock and ready to go!!!Who'd have thought that the first one would be for sale in the UK?We're usually the last to get new stuff.I certainly wont be buying it though.I wonder how many of the Guys on this...
i was bored yesterday and decided to use an aluminum pickguard i had originally bought for a Jem project i'm working with on my RG570. the guitar looks pretty sleek and simple to begin with but i think the mirrored aluminum guard adds a nice touch. everything else is stock. the trem looks kinda...

I put chrome knobs, selector switch, and bobbin toppers on my DBK and it looks killer! Next step is to get that chrome vine done on it and then it will be complete! :-) I cant believe how awesome those bobbin toppers look!!
I've managed to acquire a UV777Bk neck which has a few dints and I reckon I need some work on it, even better, add some chrome vine inlays on it.
More importantly, I need a guitar body to go along with it. I was thinking, maybe a standard UV body with monkey grip, black and white...
Well, I don't know why the other thread got closed, but I thought I'd start this one. My Universe MKR just sold for $2000!! I would say it is official. MKR's are worth around the same as ATDs. Rich sold one for over $2200; another sold a few weeks ago for around that; another sold recently...
I have been toying with the idea of building a custom Jem using a Swamp Ash body from EKG. This will be a little slow process as I need to acquire the parts as I get the money. I figure I should start by buying the body and neck. The question I have is where should I go for a neck?
I have my UV777bk since november 2001. Quite happy with it...fine. But I've never liked the neck PUs sound. Dont flame me, but I just dont get it.
So I have been dreaming about this thing for some time. I'd like to place a sustainer at neck. I tried to look around. But there's no seven string...
I am used to the RG fretboard on Ibanez. currentlly I am playing a 320DX. I have heard that RG users will find the DBK more comfortable than the VWH or VSBL. Is this true?
I am planning to get a JEM as soon as this weekend.
