I wanted to get a replacement neck for my Ibanez JPM and mod it with more elaborate inlays. The only problem is I'm unsure where to turn to. There are buyer alerts on Harpers and Custom Guitar wares and Warmoth told me they don't do Ibanezs so any input from you experts are much...
One of my favorite Wizard (1) necks - an original year issue - has given up the ghost and broken for the last time. I need a replacement, but would prefer custom aftermarket over the "buy one on eBay" route (lest you get someone elses compound warp nightmare with a bad fret scale!). :(...
I'm kinda new here (actually I was here LOOONG ago as Ibaman) and I have returned because I have a few questions.
My question copied and posted from the JP forums-
A guitar 'project' I am considering. I want to have a custom Ibanez, except they don't have a custom shop. It's basically a JEM...
Some of you are aware of my custom project being built by Custom Guitar Wares, LGM, and ATD..... I got the first picks from jeremy today... he is the faqin MAN!!! I really couldnt be happier. Check it out!!!
I'm looking for a custom made RG guitar and was wondering if anyone here has purchased necks or bodies from Custom Guitar Wares. How are the neck profiles compared to a real Ibanez? Do they feel pretty close? How is the quality of work too?
Okay, being a Guitar repairman is a strange job, you see all kinds of messed up stuff.. And, sometimes, someone brings in a guitar that the damage hurts to look at. This is one of those guitars...
About 2 months ago, a guy came in with a weathered Ibanez gig bag.. Seems he loaned his guitar to...
I found a crack on the back on my neck working toward the scarf joint. I doesn't appear to affect the playability. Is there anything I can do. I is small enough so it won't spread for glue. It's a 1998 570 strung with 9-46. Is it possible the string guage is too heavy??? Should I go back to 9-42...
I thinking of buying a custom universe from ibanez...but i was wondering:
how long does it take for them to build one
who shall i contact, i havn´t found any e-mail addressen to them
does anyone have experience with custom universes
thanx in advance
I considering getting a replacement body for a UV777BK to get swirled but I'm wondering if a different piece of wood would sound as thick but would be lighter. Also do any of you guys have suggestions as to where to get the body. I was considering Custom guitar wares.
Another step towards starting up my little project (a description of it is floating around somewhere on the forum) is deciding wether I want to stick with the standard bolt on neck or go with an AANJ. It is sort of a step I have to decide on now rather than later so I can start planning...
Does anyone have any idea what happened to Custom Guitar Wares? My friend pointed out it's been at least two years since they've taken any orders. We emailed them once, and they never responded. Does anyone know anything about what's going on there now?
I have spent quite a few months now pondering about what I wanted to get done as a project, and have come to the conclusion that there is only one thing for it: To make a BSR(Burnt Stained Red) Universe (Fire engine red with scorch marks...the 7 string from hell!).
Now to do this I know I need...
I'm looking in to JEM & UV body prices for new repos.
I need to get my prices figured out so
I need to look over the market.
I saw Ed woods site and a JEM body for a GMC or PMC was$430.
That is to steep for anyone in their right mind to pay.
Who else makes these repo bodies?
Here's mine, what's yours?
Even if it has to be ESP, it will happen.
I'd call them the Inverse and Chromosome.
The Inverse would be a copy of the Universe, but with a different color scheme. The triangle below the bridge would be replaced with a magic star thing from the series...
Hello, I was wondering if there are any RG series guitars with a hardtail? Similar to the RG 7621, but a 6 string?
I think I remember reading about the RG 502 ?? maybe but I thought it was a rare model. I was looking for something common, that would (hopefully) be a lot cheaper.
But I was...
My terribly pitted JS1000TB (not BTB), which my then fiance bought me in '94 as an engagement gift, has been brought back to life!! Thanks to new hardware and Rich, it looks as good as the day I first popped the case open  Due to Rich's setup, it plays better than it ever has. He even...
