I really haven't found much backup on this, just here and there. Understanding this forum may be biased towards Ibanez, I would still like all opinions of superstrat type guitars and how they compare sonicaly and as far as quality (and visually if interested). Which guitars I have in my mind...
Oh hell yeah!
The comments are from my resident Charvel freak Mike.
"I'm waiting to find out more info but the basics from what I've heard/read are that they are being built on the same line as the USA made fender strats just using the Charvel CNC program to get...
About 11 months ago I was fed up with buying and selling guitars - looking for that 'special' one I'd keep forever. I know this guy in Florida who builds extremely high-end guitars - he builds less than 10 per year - and we spoke about doing a project for me.
This guy has a multi-year waiting...
Hello guys, I'm close to get a new single coil (neck position) to my strat, I'm looking for clarity and a bit more gain (than the fender AM S coils), all that without loosing the strat sound, what pickup can yo recommend me?
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas on the next jem if there will be anouther one which there probably will considering there very popular.
Ideas, what it will look like, when will it come out.
i know they recently released the 7vbk.
Thought I'd give this one a go here for a couple of days, before hitting evilbay.
1999 Ibanez JS1000WH, in great overall condition, with a few marks around the Trem route to the front, a few light indents visable in certain lighting conditions, no fretware.
Comes with Ibanez Hardshell case and...
New Vision will have our first gig ever tonight at Molly Darcy's in Danbury, CT.
Classic Rock- top ten hits only - with Marshalls, Boogies, see-through Ludwig drum kit and huge PA system.
This will be my first gig without a Jem in 2 years! I'm playing 2 strats - one with a floyd and the other a...
So the gentleman who I was going to buy a JSX from decided to keep it...and thats a bummer, as I was looking forward to it.
However, after combing the area today, I have found 2 amps that I will probably have to buy just from pictures, as the sellers have both agreed to meet me halfway, so...
im looking to spend around £500 on a strat and im wondering which models i should be looking out for.
should i avoid the korean models? they look like they are pretty good value for money if theyre built well.
preferably i would like 22 frets and a 2 point trem.
p.s. pics are always welcome!
I have a question for you guys about the JEM series. I know that they are good guitars, and a lot of people enjoy them, so i am NOT trying to flame them or start a negatively-toned thread in any way. My question is more of a "parts" question: why are the JEMs (for example, the popular white...
..and i was really beautiffly suprised..:)
Actually i was going with my brother to check out some guitar for him..
I had several RGs before..but been playing a fixed bridge for some time now..
currently Conklin gtg-7..and i have completely forgot a feel of RG and a trem equipped guitar...

It's 30MB+, but I took a picture of the one part people here might be the most interested in ;)
Run for your lives, the 80's are coming back :)
Yeah kind of a weird question, and I wasn't even really sure where to post this.
I discovered that running my late 80's MIJ strat with upgraded fender noiseless single coils into my modded DS1, INTO my Marshall Guv'nor pedal, into my VOX Valvetronix on a *slightly* distorted amp...
I recently read an interview with Steve -
he was quoted as saying that because he designed the RG out of the Jem, he gets royalties on quantity sold and gets the shipping numbers from Ibanez -and they indicate the RG has sold more than ANY OTHER GUITAR IN HISTORY EXCEPT THE STRATOCASTER.
So i've just come back from my journey picking up a Squier Stratocaster i bought, didnt cost me much , AND its Made In Korea :D now from what i've heard, the korean squires are actually good! :D
its a type of guitar i've always wanted :D a Strat with a maple fretboard (ala' yngwie malmsten XD)...
I am pretty hip with Fenders and for some strange reason Fender players find great joy in finding the production dates on all of their gear. Old Fender gear (including 70's and 80's made stuff closes on **** for bizzare sums.
I was looking at the RG550 re-issue and thought I would be cool to...
I have a fender that i never use anymore because the tremolo likes to go out of tune and i recently got an rg2570, i want a guitar with a gotoh tremolo so i've been thinking about putting one in the fender but i feel like i'd be killing resale value and kinda defiling my american strat, opinions?
