I thought this would be a funny thread. I just spent an hour trying to remember everything i had and what i still have. It's bad, i have a horrible memory. It runs in the family. Also, i have a large collection at my young age. However, i thought i'd be worth a few yucks if everyone shared a...
Ok, after years of using my digitech 2101, I think I'm in need of a new Multi Effects processor. I have looked at a few, yet wanted some opinions of others I have yet to try out.
I also was looking for something that would not break the bank at this time either.
I have looked at some of these...
My Big band has started getting tonnes of gigs. We have our own PA but dont usually get much in the way of a sound check so i thought an amp modeller might be a good way of getting a good sound quickly into a PA since there is no faffing around with mic placement and stuff.
Well I have had this modellers:
VOX Tonelab SE (my favorite)
Pocket POD (still have it for practice)
I now have gone back to a real amp for live performance and CD recording... (JSX Head with Mesa 4x12 and stomp boxes).
While I liked especially the VOX (as it was sounding...
This is honestly the lowest i'm putting this amp up for. so get it while it lasts. it's a 1992 (found by the date stamp on the tube chart) one of the first years these were made. i've upgraded the speakers to weber 12-f150 and a 12-f150b. put in jj power tubes less than 6 months ago. installed...
I've recently got quite keen on overdrive and dist pedals, but unfortunately, they don't really seem to sound particularly good through my TriAxis rig. My Keeley DS-1 always sounded pretty tinny on the clean channel, but i didnt really think much of it.
I tried it though my Marshall AVT100...
Anyone have any experience with a DS-1 (preferably the Keeley'd version) used as a boost in front of a JSX? (I'm guessing over the crunch channel with the gain dropped).
I ordered a Keeley prior to getting my JSX, not realizing the JSX would be as good as it is. I'm wondering whether I...
Someone started a list all your guitars then list all the previous guitars you've owned thread. It made me realize I go through stuff way too quick. Here's my list.
Les Paul Standard
Les Paul Classic
73 or 76 LP Custom
Squire '51 with a ton of upgrades
For me it's Jason Becker. I really would like to know what amp, distortion pedal he uses on his demo tapes to Roth. Check out the songs from here.
Guitar sounds like a buzzsaw with endless sustain.
I'm always interested in learning about new gear and the best way to learn is to find out what other people like. So without further ado, what would you have in your end all be all rig?
For me it would be a 10-space shock mount rack containing (from top to bottom):
Furman PL-Plus power...
basically my pedal board is continuing to get bigger and bigger and more and more out of hand. i came across a few artists that i've seen them rackmount all their pedals (as i now have 12 and have 5 more on their way) and use a foot controller for all of them. i've came across things like the...

I thought rickcard71's thread was going to be best era for guitars as in to buy them.
As much as I would love a 1958 or 1959 Les Paul, I have to say the 2000s or maybe the 90s is the best decade for guitars, because we have a broader selection.
hey i'm after a new 1 speaker combo(tube!), downsizing for something nice, portable and simple
will be using simply with a Gmajor at pub/club gigs playing modern style(and sounding) covers(think pop/rock/r&b)
some vague descriptions of tone preference :) =
for distortion i'm not a fan of...
This thread was created for everyone to talk about all amps, not just amps that sound good for steve vai tone's. So here's a question to get it started: What is the best (in your opinion) tube or solid state amp out there for the 7 string guitar? *Remember* this thread is for all your opinion's...
Well, it's been a while since I've used an all-in-one effects/modeling board but I'm going off the deep end after demoing a setup of a friends for studio recording. I have a little effects collection that after switching to jazz, hasn't seen much light and so I've decided to **** it (My user...
