I actually dont speak english so much, i actually speak spanish, and i know that im not the only one with "tone terminology" problems, because of the language is sometimes hard to catch the "sounds" of the words and relate them with tone description, i see you guys talking about, "punch"...
Lots of people are really into pedals, and the different ways to hook them up. So post a photo of your current pedal board and maybe a brief description of the setup and the sounds.
I'm still trying to put one together but I'll come back and post a pic of what I have so far later today.
I know 500 hundreds are good, but I've also seen that there are 1 MEG's out there now, are these super hot, or what's the deal on them? I was just interested in knowing what it would do volume AND tone wise? Let me know.
I like hardcore metal like slayer, zakk wylde and BLS, metallica(older of course  )
clean is not real important to me but power, clarity, and ROAR is so would i like the EMG 81 even more over pu's like the tone zone, duncan distortion,JB ,etc?
Does anybody know if this guitar is any good??? and the pups?? in a 1 to 10 how do they rate in treble bass and midrange??? are they high output or medium? they are similar to which other ones? I ask all these questions about them because there is virtually no information about them.
THX a lot.
here's my case. i have a carvin sx-200d which is too loud for my current use. so im planning to go down to a lesser power amp and thinking of trading my current amp for 2 30-50w amps.
which amps you guys think will be good for the trade? the stores in my city mainly have marshall...
I want a fixed bridge, Mahogany guitar, with ebony board and high output pickups.. classy looking and really deep warm tone to replace the JEM7VWH.. which is ebay btw people..
Now any suggestions maybe sticking with Ibanez or PRS in price range?
hi guys i just installed a dimarzio fred into my bridge on my rg570, so far im not very impressed, there isnt a heap of gain there, the dimarzio website said its hotter than a PAF pro but my PAF actually sounds nicer imho, what do you think?
Finally got mine after a 6-month wait (ordered at NAMM and Chesbro SUCKS!).
I can't say enough good things about this guitar. INCREDIBLE in every possible way! It's the definition of understated elegance. Classy, comfortable, GREAT tone, incredible neck and a perfect choice of electronics...
How would you put this (my pedalboard) in order?
- Electroharmonix Holy Grail
- Boss DD-3
- Boss GE-7
- Boss DS-1 (Japanese) - heavy duties
- Marshall Guv'nor (British) - bluesy
- Cry Baby
After I got a Dimarzio for my Kramer (Double Whammy) I found that I am not playing my Ibanez nearly as much. :( . I have an EMG ZW set along with an S in the middle (85 in the bridge though 8) ) I don't like the pickups response as much as the DM. The harmonics are sterile the tone is...
Well do you?
I'm struggling with mine on my POD XT. In order to get a decent sound from it through the Treadplate (Dual Recto model) I have to turn the bass and mids down very low, turn the presence virtually off, and turn up the treble to about 8 or 9 o'clock.
The neck pickup is just fine...
I'm in the process of researching some preamps for a future purchase, and a few names keep coming up: The ADA MP-1, the ADA MP-2, the Rocktron Chemeleon, Voodu Valve, and Pirahna.
See, there's pretty much NO music stores where i live, so i can't just go and try...
Alright guys. I wanna know all these things. If I go to the Dimarzio or Seymour Duncan website I wanna know these things. How can I tell how much output a pickup has (eachother comparable or just look at it and go "wow that's a high output pickup") What the EQ on each pickup acually means...
I´m going to buy a new guitar, it will be a JS1000 or a JEM7DBK. I know they are two differents instruments in sound and feel, and i don´t want to know which is "better". I only want to know your opinion about your instrument: if you have a JS1000, or if you have a JEM7DBK.Thanks
read title.. ( i hope this isn't a redundant subject as the search wasn't working for me a right now)
judge mainly terms of sound and feel
edit: I'm looking for personal preferences, not advice )
