So I've decided to save up for a new guitar.
I originally had my mind set on a Mirage Blue Rg1570, but I recently saw a picture of Mr. Vai with his Bad Horsie Jem, and I decided that would be a wonderful guitar to have as well. But seeing that I'm not made of money, it's gonna have to be one...
Hey guys, just wanted to share. I got my bad horsie last week and used her in a couple of sleepless nights and free jams already and all i can say is im really disappointed. She is a beautiful guitar and grabs so much attention but doesnt quite live up to my other guns :( . I had to buy before...
Its been out for a while and I am sure some of you guys have bought a brand new 7DBK with a plastic mirror top er, I mean a Bad Horsie JEM......
But where are the pics in the JemSite gallery??? If memory serves we had to wait nearly a year for the 7SBL! And STILL the pics of the 777VSK...
and hey guys, he played the new Bad Horsie jem about 70% of the show. For those of you that want one, get your orders in now because I'm sure there will be alot sold as this tour makes it's way around the US.
He opened with the double-neck version, I noticed it has silver screws/ rivets...
Has anyone got a 77BRMR yet. I would like one but I am worried about how tough the finish on the body is. The scratch plate on my DBK scratches real easy which I can live with because it can be replaced but I wonder how long the body on the BRMR would stay pristine with regular use.
On my site there are pictures of My Rg to Jem conversion project... Its a fun little project ive been doin for a week or two now... I just finished scalloping the last 4 frets on the neck, and routing out the monkey grip.. I think it looks pretty good.... Im...
I think the Bad Horsie Jem is a beautiful instrument. But I have to ask this... WHY DID YOU MAKE THIS INSTRUMENT WITHOUT A VINE INLAY IN THE NECK? Imagine that instrument with a chrome vine inlay. Or perhaps since it IS the "Bad Horsie" guitar, use the basic vine pattern, but make it barbed wire...
I've looked all over this Forum trying to actually find out what the 'Alumiboy' is or will be if it's released but I can't find any proper descriptions of it.
Are we talking about an actual 'Aluminium Body' which will be chromed or is it a wooden body that's...
So we're getting a lot of information on the Bad Horsie JEM, but we haven't really heard anything about the new hardtail JEM...so does anyone have any info on this guitar?
Personally, I'm more interested in the hardtail, but that's just me! :P
I'm looking for speculation here. There is rumored to be some new pickps DiMarzio is working on with Steve for the new Bad Horsie guitar. If that's true, what do you think they'll be like? Given the nature of the song, I'm guessing it would be a higher putput guitar capable of sounding good...
Hi Jem fanatics,
Australian Guitar (Next Media) will be publishing cover story/interview with Steve Vai in the upcoming weeks. At this stage two versions of the interview will appear: a 2500-word feature, and (potentially) a full 7000-word warts-and-all transcription loaded into a...
Which one people? Why? Why not? If Vai was going to give you one or the other which one would you pick? Don't forget the horrible condition of Evo but its unsurpassed tone. FLo has the sustainer system by Fernandes. WHICH ONE?!?!?!?!?! :?:
At the time of this writing Ibanez has sold 45,160 Jem guitars since the initial release of this ground-breaking instrument in 1987.
Steve and Ibanez plan to do something special to mark 50,000 Jems sold.
We'd love to hear your suggestions about how we can mark this important milestone in the...
