The F2 on my 1989 540S is dying. Through a cranked amp yesterday it was microphonic as hell. Has anyone had any luck (good or bad) repotting 20 year-old pickups? It sounds great when it's behaving and it's original to the guitar so it would be a shame to bin it if it could be brought back to...
