Rosewood RG550 from 1993?
I came upon what seems to be an Ibanez RG550 but I'm not entirely sure about its integrity.
Its an all-black Ibanez RG with a rosewood fingerboard. Serial number dates it to be a 93' MIJ model and it has RG550 written next to the serial (behind the headstock)...
some years ago I bought the attached guitar, but the guy didn't tell me excactly what guitar this is and I am still no guitar expert. What I know: Made in Japan in 2006, Team J. Craft and Prestige. Would you tell me what model this is? I would appreciate it :)
Can you help me identify this model?
The serial number says F01 ... so 2001 Japan. But i can't find any information on the internet.
Mahogany body, HH configuration and this strange set of only 1 Volume Pot and the rare 3-way toggle (Petrucci Style).
Could it be that this body is custom made...
This tremolo is on an rg320 it looks a lot like an edge pro, but I had understood that the edge pro was mostly on prestige models. Am I correct? Whats the general consensus on these trems?
Dear Ibanez fans,
I used to own this guitar somewhere between 2002-2004 and would like to know which RG exactly it is. Key features: reverse headstock, 2 humbuckers no single coil, no pickguard, a tremolo, neck had a black but not satin black, round volume & tone controls, 5 or 3 way toggle...
I have this, been told, mid-90s Hamer, with no other markings besides the Hamer, and the serial-Made in Korea on the back screen printed. It has Duncan Designed pickups and gold knobs. It's a deep purple flame top with a binding.
Great, hefty, guitar and the action is fantastic. Sounds...
.,-}So, I checked the serial number and it's supposed to be a 2004 guitar made in Korea's Peerles plant. However below the serial there is "custom shop humbucker designed" which I don't know what it means, besides the seller says this guitar was made somewhere between 94 and 97 in Japan.
Hey guys, the current owner of this guitar knows pretty much nothing about it, so I have a couple questions about this beauty:
1) What model is this?
2) What could be the production years?
3) Does it have a piezo system?
4) If that's a piezo, is it good & reliable?
5) What are all those...
Could you help me identify this guitar? Is this a RG1570? Seller said the serial number is f0516976 (on the phone) but he doesn't know the model (it was a gift).
Thank you so much in advance!
Hi all, I wanted some help trying to track down a guitar i was trying to buy. Does anyone know anything about this guitar? When I went to purchase the guitar, the price suddenly sky rocketed to 10,000; something very fishy. It was on the bay site and the seller was located in Japan. And I found...
Hi Jemsite fellas!
(I'm not sure if such thread already exists and where it should be placed - hope mods will help with that)
I've just found this document that will help you exactly date your Ibanez whether it's japanese, korean or indonesian. Though it is in german it's not hard to...
Hey i found this old ibanez on a website, i was wondering if anyone knew the exact specifications or model name of the guitar.
i think it looks like an Ibanez RG 550
but from the license number it seems like it was made in korea 1995
I can buy this from a trusted source at a 'good' price, but I have little information. All I know is what the retailer posts about this axe:
- BC Rich (Assassin)
- 3 Hot Rails pick ups (single) with 3 individual switches
- 1 tone, 1 volume dial
- Floyd Rose
- Retail price ~ USD 2000...
I found this potential new toy at an estate auction, but can't for the life of me figure anything out about it. I'm guessing nobody has ever seen one of these before either, but what do you think? Worth the drive to try to pick it up for cheap or should I not give into the GAS this...
I just spotted this guitar for sale in my area, and I'm wondering which model it is.
RG body, no pickguard, sharkfin inlays, reverse headstock, (shiny) grey, V7 S1 V8 pickups, ...
Here the only two pics I have at the moment.

I picked up an Ibanez from a buddy about 7-8 years back. I never got full details on the guitar from him and have lost touch, so I'm looking to the experts to identify my guitar (and value if anyone knows. I'll probably be selling my highest value guitars since I now have a little boy on the...
Since everyone here is collectively THE best source for obscure information, I thought I would try this.
I was at Uncle Sam's Pawn Shop in Columbus last week, and they have two, maybe three, of these guitars. (NOTE: the pictures are not mine, I copied them from a 2010 post by...
Happy NGD to me!
I picked this up at a local Music Go Round for 50 bones.... definitely seems like it's made out of plywood, but it plays like a dream! I love the neck (for some reason). The pickups are wired out of phase too, so that's cool.
I'm thinking it is a First Act based on the...
