I just love the neo-classical licks Matthew Mills comes up. He reminds me of Chris Impellitteri in the late 80's. Very aggressive sounding and amazing speed.

Ok just stumbled on this video clip of an aussie guitarist promoting the guitar show in NSW.
They say he is the fastest guitarist in the world, and he was timed.
Who knows if thats true or not ?
but he does a solo at the end to some nice acoustic guitarist and totally butchers it by shredding...

Who is the fastest Shredder/ guitarist ever?
Purly based on speed ( i know best isn't fastest but this thread concerns speed), Notes per second, sweep picking, strumming, picking....etc
Anyone listened to this guy before. Aussie guy, sponsered by Godin Guitars. He's doing a workshop in October I'm going to go check out. There are some samples of his work on his site. Pretty damn fast, apparently something like 40 notes a second!
