Awesome video presentation from Symphony X's own Michael Romeo! Japanese Import produced in 2000! Comes with instructional booklet to accompany examples presented in the video. As far as I know, this was never produced onto dvd and is pretty limited. Asking $30.00 obo I will ship...

Hey guys! I have my eyes set on a 'Jackson DK2M Pro Series Dinky' (check link at the bottom) and I really want to make some improvements on it once I get it. Okay, so the guitar comes with Seymour Duncan pickups (TB4 and SH2N). I was thinking of replacing them with DiMarzio pups. I play for a...

I have an S2170 as you probably guess from the title, and I also have enough money lying around to get it not only fixed (ZR trem holder...noooo) but to upgrade the pickups in the process. I definitely want to upgrade the two humbuckers, the single coil isn't essential because I don't use it...

Alright folks. It was between either Engl and Mesa, and I've decided on Mesa because of the lead tone (I'm a lead player). I don't think anything can beat a Boogie for lead tone =) Now, the problem is that there are so many options that I have no friggin' clue as to what to get. My options are...

I am hell bent on getting me an Ibanez with a neck that has a profile true to the wizard/super wizard dimensions. In one of the other threads i have been informed that J-customs no longer really come with the dimensions that Ibanez advertises on their website. The neck should be 17mm at the...

Hi all, I've been away from this site to avoid GAS for sometime now, but I find myself climbing the wall with GAS again and this is where it leads me. :) Lately I've been checking out the Caparison guitars and I'm afraid I'm hellbent on getting one. I'm looking into the Dellinger and TAT...

Hey folks, I have a rig that I currently use and LOVE (pod xt + atomic reactor amp), and I was thinking of getting another setup (perhaps going all-tube), since I split my time between college (in a diff state) and my home. My max cost for this is about 1300-1400. I play primarily instrumental...

"Back in the day" we had the guys like Satch and Vai, and Nuno and George Lynch, plus guys like Scott Ian from Anthrax and the guys from Metallica and Megadeth. But... Who are the guys that the 15 year olds want to grow up to be? The UK guitar magazine try to convince us it's Trivium and...

I have an X2n on the way for my RG550. What neck pickup do I use with this? I have an Air Norton I could use. Would it work? I mean would it be way underpowered? I pretty much use just the bridge pickup and neck pickup alone. I hardly ever use the other 3 positions on the ole 5 way. Suggestions?

It kills me to see that none of the very well known guitar virtuosos started their carreers not too long ago. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, Tony Macalpine, Richie Kotzen, Allan Holdsworth, Jimmy Page, Reb Beach.... etc all started 2 or 3 decades ago. IMO the newer guitarists...

Which just arrived at my friends place. Thanks to David McCarroll for taking the photos: The guitar is having an EMG 81/85 set installed for tight METAL \m/ action soon :)

I know, I know, Satch, Vai, Malmsteen, Gilbert, blah blah blah blah blah, they all bring the same bag, sometimes cool tunes with mildly impressive licks... I'm not saying I can play them, but I am saying everytime I go to the guitar store there are at least a couple people that can. I wanna...

I've got an interview with these two bands.... thought I'd open it up and see if anyone had any questions they wanted to ask to either of the two bands??

I have seen a bunch of shredder videos, but not a lot of videos displaying the best talented rythem guitarists. Anyone got some good ones? Billy Gibbons is one of my favorites.

I'm purchasing some tester pickups for my RG550 (Three, to save on shipping) to see what tones I like, kinda tired of the Super 3 in there. I like a bitey tone, with more treble than mid, and more mid than bass. So far I'm looking at... Super II D Activator Neck D Activator Bridge X2N Any...

Hi Guys, First off, Hi to the forum.... yesterday I received a mint 05 Jem7VWH so signed up here. I was going to get a new PGM301 but saw one of these going for a similar price so jumped on it. The only other shredding axe I've owned was an ESP KH2 (bolt on). With my small hands I found it...

After learning some of Satch's stuff, I've started working on my legato technique way more than I used to. I really dig the smooth sound of it and would like to find more players that are really good at legato, so could you guys help me out? Who out there is just sick at legato, and what...
