1st, Near mint 1986 Jackson Made Schon Guitar. I have the original paperwork on it and Original case. This one is painful to sell but I have two of the less than 200 made. I remember waiting for these to come out reading the specs and getting the inside scoop as a member of the Journey fan...

Pickups for jem project help Hi I want to start my first Jem project this year, so i've begun to read all the necesary documentation. I'd like to get a sweet distortion, sound closer to Neal Schon's tone in his albums "I On You" and "Voice" Any recomendations for neck/mid/bridge pickups? Thanks.

I am hell bent on getting me an Ibanez with a neck that has a profile true to the wizard/super wizard dimensions. In one of the other threads i have been informed that J-customs no longer really come with the dimensions that Ibanez advertises on their website. The neck should be 17mm at the...

Ok...sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, I'm not trying to be a troll or to start a flame war (though that could conceivably happen anyway, I will admit)...let's just get that out of the way from the start. I seriously want to know everybody's response to this. Here's the question...is...

I just read in the new Guitar Player about this potential new band. Page 16. They have a whole album's worth of power-trio stuff already recorded. The New Van Halen with Satch. OMG- I can't wait. This will be AWESOME.

Disclaimer - Please no talk of share sites or PP software and how/where to do it. I just read an interesting interview with Glen Frey who said that he thought that there was still plenty of options left in the music business for CD sales etc rather than it moving to a stage where artists made...

I have to admit that i didn't like Steve Lukather in the past. But now, as i'm growing older :) and out of my shredding phase :) i digg his playing very much. And he's got that big, airy, non-dry sound, at least on newer records i heard. I'm wondering what amps he uses? Or is his sound that way...
  10. Off Topic Lounge
Anyone else watching other companies for what they might have coming out this week? Just curious. We're all very Ibanez-intensive around here. ;) Not sure if this is in the right section, either....

So I've been playing for close to nine years and I seem to have picked up a bad habit in my right hand. I'm not sure how to explain it, but for any lead work that involves fast runs I kind of isolate all of the picking to the two fingers holding the pick, as opposed to making the picking come...
