Putting an item back on the market!
This neck was going to be for a project. I fitted it, and it is a great neck, but then changed my mind about the project so this is just sitting waiting to be used. I believe it is from a RG2120, but please let me know if you think otherwise. I bought it...
Im new here but have been using Ibanez all my life... in my opinion there is nothing that even comes close to that wizzard neck!!!
Im about to buy the above... the rga 121 prestige in Mahogony.
Just thought i would put it in here to see if anyone has anything to say about them... good...
My question is: is there a worksmanship, or craftsmanship difference between the rg3120 and the rg2550? They appear to have the same neck, so my guess is the only difference is the flame maple top and mahogany body, am I right? Or do the ibanez workers put in more effort and time into the...
Okay this is quite a number of a guitar so read well.
What we have here is an RG1570 body in mirage red finish with an RG2550 neck and an ORIGINAL lo-pro bridge out of an RG1200. Just see the pics... The pickups are a Tone Zone in the bridge, a blue velvet in the middle, and a Breed neck in...
I'm after a Jem neck for a project that I'm doing on one of my guitars I'm building.
They seem very hard to get hold of indeed as they dont seem to wear out.
I dont really want to compromise, I want a Jem neck but I am having big trouble sourcing one! I dont really have a preference on...
I've always wondered this, since some of the Prestige models seem to have this, while others only have a serial on the back.
Obviously any RG Prestige is going to be made in the Fuijen factory... But how a lot of lower end models like the RG1570 only have a serial on the headstock while others...
I don't have the option to post pics so I will do my best to describe it. I don't have the guitar in front of me as I am at work. The guitar is pewter silver with Rosewood fretboard, dot inlays and black headstock. Also has the wizard 1 neck w/strip on the back of the neck. The headstock...
hey im kinda new here so if this is the wrong forum, sorry.
Does anyone have any Experience with the RG1570 Prestige? Im probobly going to be buying one soon but a lot of the reviews on the internet are written in the "honeymoon" period of the guitar, so they arent always accurate :p:
Looking to sell my guitar and wondering what sort of price I should be letting it go for? (FYI NOT TRYING TO SELL HERE).
It's a 2003 - fixed the buzz as per my previous post - RBF colour Prestsige.
I picked it up second hand for £600 and everything is pretty much spot on...
a buyer stiffed me on this ...said he was just playin around...thank god
THIS IS AN IBANEZ 1570 BODY WITH THE GOOD:2003: EARLY PRESTIGE NECKS WITH WITH A LOPRO AND ALL MIRRORED TRUSS,TREM AND MIDDLEPICKUP,SWITCH TIP ..THE WIRING IS THE EXPENSIVE PRESTIGE ELECTRONICS WITH A SWITCHCRAFT...
Hi all, I have kinda rediscovered my ancient RG550 recently. It's an old RFR one from '87 I think. Anyway, I recently played an RG2570 and the neck shape seemed better to me (it was a bit fatter, slightly wider & felt a little V shaped to me).
So I'm wondering if there is another model (neck)...
I'd like to get some opinions on this. I've owned at least 20-25 Ibanez guitars over the years. Mostly RG models but I also had a JEM and a JPM model for a while.
Now I realize that Team J Craft is a specialized group of Ibanez's most experienced builders and the VAST majority of their guitars...
I've got the choice between a black '99 RG550 and a silver '05 RG2570, $600 and $500 respectively. I've played both models and don't really have a preference one way or another. Can anyone give me some more info that might sway my decision one way or another? Disregard...
As we say here in England (I live in Italy now most of the time though, LOL)
Which is the more stunning guitar visually?
Visable sharkies, swish/tick headstock.
Mmmmm sky blue... nice colour! :)
Another thing I've been considering with Ibanez guitars recently, is that as much as I love the RG shape (both looks and cosmetics) the necks for me are just too damn thin.
I thought it could've been just me being picky, but I've spoken to a lot of guys locally who always say things along the...
hmm, i think i need either a j custom, if i can find one at a good price, or a 3120 next!
an rg with mahogany body = a must :)
over this time, ive actually come to a few conclusions!
lo pro > all
even the lor pro arm works better than the edge pro arm, in an edge pro bridge!
lotrs = ****e...
"Mild relic done by me to body and headstock only...I think the headstock looks much better natural, showing off the beautiful woods they use in these Prestige necks."
And he's trying to sell it for $700!
End of November, already!
And we didn't get much news about what is going on in Fujigen plant for 2008.
So, this is a call to anyone who could have picked here or there pieces of info about next year line-up.
