I going to buy a Avid M audio box,to help to completely avoid the mic jack on my computer, and it comes with Pro Tools SE, just wondering if its any good. If not, i have two other programs to fall back on.
so ive bought
so im running a imac 2.4 GHz intel core duo
1 gb of ddr2 ram
and i bought:
a Western Drive My Book Studio edition 640 gigabyte
it shows up on the desktop (as a folder?)
I open Protools (LE 7.4)
and start a session, it wont let me save the session to the hardrive.
so i save...
so i finally figured out i need a firewire drive not usb
i the dude in teh shop told me!
will a Glyph Portagig 800 work? it says it does, but im not completely sure
and also when i open protools LE 7 on my mac i get a thing saying Authorize
i click next and then it says i have to...
I've used Adobe, Cubase, Garageband (lol) but Sonar won me over and I have been super happy with it ever since.
I'm just wonder if I am missing out on anything with Protools...what's all the hub-bub about?
Are there any features worth the several hundreds of bucks in software and hardware...
