I am undecided between Gibson LP and PRS standard satin 22. I like the LP tone and burst but scale is too short for me and neck is not very comfortable. PRS wide thin neck is easier to play and not much different from Ibanez. They are about the same price range. What do you guys think?

I'm torn.... Anyone here own a PRS SAS? Or both?

I have been thinking about buying a nice PRS for awhile now. I was wondering if anyone here can tell me or give me some info on a PRS model that has a nice slim neck, like a Jem or Les Paul Standard with the Slim 60's taper neck.

Hi. What would be better for me? Mesa F50 combo or Marshall Mode 4 head with a Vintage 30 equipped cab?? The marshall head is 575 US with shipping and is mint. The Mesa is used and is 650 US+ shipping. I play modern rock and Modern "Nu" Metal. I use an Ibanez RGA 121 Prestige. Can someone please...

I'm torn. I'm ready to buy another guitar and I CAN'T make up my mind which one to get. I'm in a Classic Rock band and I'm the lead guitar player. I play through 2 Marshall heads and four 4-12" Marshall cabinets every gig. I have to pick just one guitar- HELP!!! 777SK? YJM Strat? My 550DY is...

My new axe - Jackson RR1Flametop, looks killer, photos do not do it justice. Plays killer- as the any other RR1 from Jackson, true classic, nothing exceptional consindering RR1 only the looks. Neck is great on these. Pretty beefy and big considering Ibanez necks but still shreddable. Enjoy the...

  10. Comments to Ibanez
I was just thinking... What would stop Ibanez from having a section of their company dedicated to building re-issues of older models? At the end of the day, it can't be that much more hassle to make the re-issues or else we wouldn't of seen the RG550 anniversarys. This isn't your normal "We...

Seen this in a guys signature at talkbass thought it was funny, apparently were not the only Ed lovers out there. "I said it once before: I don't care if his basses play like liquid Jesus dipped in butter and greased with lightning sauce, there's simply no excuse for dealing with Ed Roman"

Ok, I've had a lot of Ibanez like the rest of you guys. Jem, JS1000, JPM, endless RG550-570 etc. My daughter (13y) wanted an electric guitar. She plays acoustic and my Prestige sometimes. But she wanted her own electric. I went to the music store to see what was current, thinking I'd find an...

Question for all your JS, JEM and JP experts out there... I was reading an old Guitar World magazine interview with Joe Satriani, and he said one of the reasons he endorses Ibanez is because they were able to build him a guitar that he could take on tour which could replicate the sounds of his...

Here is what Ibanez has to offer us S users this next year The first would be KILLER if it didn't have • Middle pickup • Overly obnoxious binding • Wizard II neck instead of Wizard I The second would be killer if it had • Wizard 7 neck The third would be KILLER if it didn't have • Middle...
  15. Classified Ads: Ibanez JEM/UV Guitars
Looking for a trade for this PRS Guitar. Collector value on these according to the book is 1500-1900 tho only yield thus far in 2006 1200-1600. 2007 will bring the market up on these as well. But as you know, the lower the serial number for number built plays HUGE a factor in PRS guitars. This...

This is something no one ever talks about, and I was blown away when I first discovered it. This guy is really on to something! It makes perfect sense, and I am baffled that no one has figured it out before. I ordered a few of these sting sets, and I have to say there really is a big improvement...

Alright, heres the deal. All I've ever played since the late 80's has been Ibanez Wizard necks which always makes transitions between other instruments feel akward. Not only are they thinner than most necks (which may be best for my small hands anyway), but the slight millimeter differences in...

I've been thinking about this and perhaps some of you can add more hypotheses (that's the plural btw, lol) to this. As most of you are familiar with the Chromed JS's in general and know of the quirks associated with the finish and since I started thinking about this a few hours ago before I...

Man! I went to my local GC just to buy some strings and ended up spending a mint on a '60 Relic Strat. :) This thing is awesome! Check out my blog for photos and my inital review. http://funguitars.blogspot.com More to come. I'll be posting setup photos and another review once I spend some...

Are there any differences in string spacing between the original Edge and Lo-Pro versus the Edge Pro? Because as we all know, ever since the change to the Edge Pro, the wizard profile changed as well. the thing now is, the Wizard is now 2mm wider on the last fret, which technically means that...
