I have a modified 2005 Ibanez JS 1200 (candy apple red). Modifications include a Tremol-No (play with a blocked, dive only, or full floating Floyd with the twist of a screw) system as well as a Mo Joe Dimarzio bridge pick-up which Joe uses in all of his touring guitars instead of the stock Fred...
I've build 2 classical guitars.
Now my son wants to learn guitarbuilding (14 y old)
We will start with an electrical. Because we both are Satriani and Vai fan, we choose a Jem-alike to develop his skills.
Looking forward for the project (and you guys' advise)
This is kinda off topic, but i figure with so many JS officianados i might get an answer. Anyone know where i can score one of the red surfing with the alien t-shirts that look like the albm cover? Does it come with any like box set or something?
IVE DECIDED THIS IS TOO MUCH FOR ME AS A "BEDRROM GUITARIST", IM CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A VOX AD50VT WITH ALL THE ONBOARD EFFECTS
THIS PEAVEY JSX 212 JOE SATRIANI COMBO IS IN MINT CONDITION, WITH PEDAL, AND WOULD MAKE YOUR EARS BLEED.
ANYWAYS, YOU KNOW THE SCORE, YOU KNOW WHAT ITS WORTH
Up for sale is my 2001 Ibanez JS1000BP. I have owned her for approx. 4 months and she just doesn't get the playing time she deserves! She has a few dings and 1 blemish/dent that I have taken pics of. Other than that, she plays fine and is beautiful!
As is typical of older Ibby's, she does...
hey guys! thought i'd post another satriani cover video i did... i don't have a backing track for this tune, so its just me playing the guitar parts. hope you guys dig it!
i don't have enough posts to put links in here, sorry... just go to youtube and type in ben eller covers always with me...
I have been trying to increase my music theory knowledge, and I can't figure out Flying in a Blue Dream. The first chord is a Csus2#4, which is easy enough -- C D F# G. Those notes all fit nicely into the C Lydian scale. The next chord, however, is where I get confused. It is an Absus2#4...
just thought i'd share a video i made of myself playing Midnight by Joe Satriani. I'm tuned down a half step, but oh well!
Upon uploading, it seems that the audio got out of sync >:( but oh well, you get the idea. Comments welcome! I'm still trying to figure out how to get the best...
Here it is:
Also, what guitar is this, exactly? Is it a Gibson Nighthawk?
EDIT: I saw an error message, so if the above 'img' link doesn't work, here's the url:
Just a killer guitar!
Perfect playability, great sound and beautiful look!
It is a player, so it has some scratches, but the neck is completly straight, the gutiar plays like hell and the traces of use have no technical impact.
Fixprice is 1450,-€
Here are some detailed pics...
As we know, Joe Satriani sued Coldplay for stealing the melody from "If I Could Fly" to put into "Viva La Vida".
That was some time ago.
Now Coldplay is bringing a tour to Australia.
Not only is Viva La Vida going to be performed, but the tour is actually called the "Viva La Vida Tour".
I wonder if anyone has had a chance to check out Joe's amps at recent clinics or pre-show stage tour to see how he is setting the clean controls on the JSX?
I saw his setup during a stage tour about 2 years ago but was unfortunately a few beers worse for wear and don't remember...
