So i just laid one away at work, cause i ****ing love the thing, and its really cheap. PERFECT canvas for modding **** up
It plays decently well stock actually, and sounds pretty solid, but clearly it could be better. I'm extremely impressed however for a guitar that goes new MAP at under...
Really don't want to sell this, but the wife's car is dying and the less credit I need to replace it the better. I'd rather sell the Soloist ;)
Anyway, 2 year old Carvin 727 : 2 piece mahogany neck through, tung oiled neck. Ebony fretboard, medium jumbo stainless steel frets, block neck inlays...
I really haven't found much backup on this, just here and there. Understanding this forum may be biased towards Ibanez, I would still like all opinions of superstrat type guitars and how they compare sonicaly and as far as quality (and visually if interested). Which guitars I have in my mind...
When I do vibrato and keep doing it on one fret, a grit builds up and the fret becomes very ruff. In some cases when i do vibrato I can see some metal shavings come off of the frets. What the heck is wrong and how do I fix it?
Can someone confirm for me that the neck radius on the JS is REALLY 250mm??? That comes to LESS than 10"... 9.8 and change in fact. I find it a bit hard to imagine that the neck on the JS is more curved than on an SRV Fender strat that I played (and hated, although not solely because of the...
Well, in my really slow quest for becoming a guitar tech, I feel it's time to start fretting. I know I should start on simple stuff, and of course, on cheap/disposable necks.
The thing is, I've looked around and basically I've found 2 radically different approaches:
1.- Stew Mac: "buy this...
Hi Folks!
I'm in the market for a wizard II because of its thicker profile. however not sure if there are differences. would an RG2XX neck be different than and RG4XX, in terms of frets, and quality? I would ideally want a WizardII with stainless steel frets and [email protected] 1st fret rather than the 18...
I love its looks, the pickup options and I am thinking of getting a slightly used Carvin DC400 Anniversary with a Wilkinson trem, stainless steel frets, gold hardware, a nice sunburst maple top, matching headstock and probably some other options I am now forgeting...
Apart from its great looks...
I found a used american made strat with rosewood fingerboard. It has the more modern blocky bridge saddles though. Based on the serial number, it appears to be an early to mid nineties manufacture date.
The strat is up for sale for $625, and I've been wanting an american made strat but am...
so this is what i have, i love back to my roots on the ibanez guitars but i had to go all out this time
22 fret s.s. frets

Hi, just wondering how easy this it to do, ive never done this before, is it hard to get it all setup correctly and playing nicely by myself? Does it work out cheaper than buying a whole guitar ready assembled? Any info appreciated,
thanks
I have a 2170FB. The 8th fret seems to be flaking. It's leaving metal shavings on my fretboard.
What is going on? Is this normal wear? I have never seen this before. Maybe because my other guitar has stainless steel frets?
Help?
$799. Good price???
A friend of mine has offered me a Parker Fly Deluxe, in excellent condition for $799. Custom dimarizio's, adjustable tremelo...so on.
I've heard it, but haven't played it. Any one have advice/experience?

I really think this is my next purchase, the bolt-t (wilkinson), maple neck, 14" radius, jumbo SS frets, mist blue metallic paint, pearloid pickguard, sperzels. what do you think?
I have a Surf green (MIM) 1999 '57 Stratocaster. I love the feel, and the maple 'v' neck, and the tone is good...but the stock pickups make that "noise".
I would like a good replacement set (all 3) for this guitar that keep the Strat-Fender tone but have more flexibility toward humbucker-like...
