Since finding a UV7BK is turning out to be trickier than I thought I've been eyeing the UV70P again as Ibanez has gone back to using rosewood fretboards for 2021 with CITES out of the way. The only thing giving me doubt is the trem though. I have an RG2550z with the original edge zero and...
Bought this guitar less then a month ago and unfortunately its got to go. :(
I purchased this guitar from a local bass player who bought it back in 2014 and never played it. When I got it, it still had the plastic on the pickups, pickguard and control covers. Since then its gotten an FU-Tone...
Selling a new factory stamped 2nd Ibanez UV70P. I still have the original box for it and it is in brand new condition. I've tried to find what makes it a 2nd and I can't. It might be the that the strings don't line up 100% with the poles but that is only thing I can find. No other issues.
Finally pulled the trigger on a UV70P after having had GAS for it for quite some time. I was not an Ibanez guy up until a year ago when I bought a JEM505 (pictured as well). I had a Japanese made Fender strat from 1984 (bought it new) that was modded along the line but it was stolen from me...
Went to the music store to get a $6 pack of strings and came home with strings and a MINT UV70P and a prestige case to go along with it. The neck shape doesn't feel as flat as my old UV77MC though or is that just me? The only gripe i have is the baseplate on the neck pickup is pushed right up...
I am thinking my bassy/low midy UV70p lacks the neck/bridge position. I like all positions clean, but I am not so crazy about 2,3,4. Could I just mod position 3 to have bridge/neck together in parallel or all 3 pups in parallel?
Is it worthy? Could this be close to an LP mid position?
I have a premium universe UV70p. From the moment i touched it i know i was doomed, i never played a guitar with the same feel. The neck is rediculous and I have a thing going for pickguard equipped guitars.
The only and biggest problem is the Edge Zero ii 7 trem. It wont stay...
I have the impression that I have been (since October) experiencing a constant (sometimes even overnight) increase of action height in my uv70p.
It is true that this guitar went under many stages, sent back to germany, returned with basically nothing more than a nice setup, was diagnosed...
it seems my UV70p's AANJ neck screws heads are just one step from being totally stripped.
I know they come in two different lengths. Does anyone know where I can find them? Also, Rich's site : http://www.ibanezrules.com/parts.htm has marked the shorter ones (AANJ screw - 36mm MIK...
Today I witnessed the weirdest change that a new (or just good) string might have compared to an old one (or just bad). I have this uv70p, and before I sent to Germany for the known problems, I remembered it had killer harmonics everywhere. When I got it back and after all the repairs, it was...
I know a lot of people will say I made the wrong choice but so far Im happy. I bought this UV70P last week for an unbeatable price, and it just came in today. I did tons of shopping around. I was originally going for a used MIJ UV but decided the price for this one, brand new, with warrenty was...
Looking to get another Universe. I had a UV777BK in the early 00's. I cant remember what year it was but it still had the lo-pro edge 7 and 1 piece neck. So that would be my ideal guitar. I may consider other UV's especially for the right price.
In my new UV70p i just got yesterday, the action in the 3 middle saddles goes like D less than A less than G , (with action of high E measuring 1.2mm and low B 1.5mm @24th fret) which does not make much sense. I would suppose for action to grow gradually from G->D->A.
Is the above normal?
I took it out, made some basic setup, truss rod mainly + tightening the trem screws.
It started with somewhat mixed feelings,
- i liked the sound,
- the feel,
- the weight,
- the balance,
- the fretwork,
- the strength of the neck (KTS titanium rods)
- the harmonics
Hi just coming from here http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f16/ibanez-rg1527-vs-schecter-hellraiser-c-7-fr-133058.html ,
Pulled the trigger for the UV70p Universe!
