1400$ a fair price for a new 2002 universe?

Hey folks, i tried at a local store a 2002 universe unused in the store.
i might get it for 1400$, the axe has some little scratches in the jack hole, and some little scratches on the mirror. what do u guys think? should i get it or pay a couple of hundred bucks and get the all new 2005 universe?

I reckon $1400 is a great price for a UV in Lebanon.
Over here this would easily fetch $1600 but that's just the way it is - US are such a vast market that things end up cheaper.
I say try and see if you can get it for a little less and if you can't try and get some free strings/strap or something but if you like it, get it.

Yes it does. I would get the 02 myself just because it's a bit cheaper. I can live with some dings if they are not too bad - they add character to a guitar!!!! Spend the other $200 on new strings for all 30 of your guitars and a DS-1 or something :p
