Hi,
My old 1986 Ibanez RG420BK have some aged problem.
It's the Pot for the Bridge pickup ...the tap coil do not work anymore !
My question is, can i put any tape coil 500k potentiometer ? ...& there is a chance that the sound change ? (i don't want change the sound)
Anyway, i want your advice & what can i find on amazon that will preserve the sound of my RG420BK ?
On Amazon, can we find a tremolo bar for the RG ?
Thank you all !
Daniel

Any 500K potentiometer that fits your guitar's electronics cavity should have no real impact on the tone of the guitar.

And searching on Amazon will tell you if you can get a tremolo bar for the RG. But it really depends on what bridge is installed on your guitar. If it's an Edge, then you'll be able to find one of these searching for Ibanez Edge tremolo bar or whammy bar on google, eBay, etc. Rich at Ibanez Rules will definitely have some I'd say. That should be a first year Ibanez Edge, so you should be able to find a replacement easily.

I'm excited to say I'm getting a slightly customized RG440 soon! I'll need to wire it when it arrives, so please post back if you find a 500k ohm pot with coil tap switch that fits. Great guitars!
