OK so i have had this for a very long time and have finally decided to start upgrading parts.

I'm starting with A set of SD Black winters, and A SSL4 quarter pound in the middle.

I have looked at wiring diagram after wiring diagram and post after post. My head is just spinning and I am completely lost.

I just need to know what wires in my cheapo 14 year old pups (power sound or whatever) equate to on the seymour duncans.

So this way all I have to do is drop them in and call it a day.
PLEASE take pity on my dumb soul!

Thanks in advance!

Well I got them all wired up and now position 1 and 5 are weak and my tone knob acts like a volume.... I'm gonna say something is not quite right. And all i did was remove the old ones and drop in the SD's.

You've got some bad solders somewhere then, and/or you've damaged positions one and five on the selector with too much heat. Go over each solder connection, reheat and let set. Make sure each solder has a nice shiny look. If they are dull the solder joint is no good.

I dug around the DiMarzio site and found this diagram.

www DOT dimarzio DOT com/sites/default/files/diagrams/IBZmodDOTpdf

Problem solved! My five way is selecting backwards but that is a simple fix.
