Hi,

I saw this for sale post from a forum here in my country.

Based on the images(3rd link) it is RG350DX. but when I did some research it is actually RG09LTD.

I really like the design and the price is quite cheap. What you guys think about it? Is it real or fake? Is the price worth it?

I'd say it's definitely real. Can't say much about the price because I prefer older 500 series for less money, but I would guess it's not a bad price if you really like the guitar.

Because i tried to search RG350DX based on the image the seller provide but I cant find similar design. And found out that RG09LTD has exactly the same design (flying pegasus)

Headstock looks off. The Check mark is very close to the edge, and why would it have an "I" prefix serial number but be made in Korea?

An RG350DX would have a pickguard as well.

Could be a parts mutt?

Why would anybody fake anything but a jem? Especially a Korean model, doesn't make sense. There are other RG09LTD's on the net with an I in the serial, too (derr, didn't realize these are Indo rather than Korean).

This is absolutely a parts guitar.

  The hardware should not be chrome, it should be black
  The RG09LTD was obviously made in 2009, but:
  1. 
     the serial states that it's an '06 from Korea
     the serial states that it's Indonesian
     the truss rod cover is the "slide-down" type that was not available until 2010

The body MAY be a true 09LTD as I've seen another yellow one before. But the 09LTD was only available in two colors.......white with blue graphic and blue with white graphic. It's possible this body has hung in a window since '09 and severely yellowed, but the only way to know if it's real or not is to turn the lights off. The Pegasus constellation should glow in the dark. If it doesn't....it's fake.

My biggest problem with the guitar is the neck.....there's just too much wrong with it for me to believe it's not a VERY well done Chibanez copy.

The EdgeIII is real........but that's not a big bonus either..............

BTW....the price equates to $391 USD. About double what a complete, unmolested one sells for normally.

No, It's definitely not worth the asking price..................

If they get almost $400 for it??? There's plenty of cash to gain. Hell, I'll sell originals for $400 all day long!!!!!

Well they must have some cost in it to begin with so the profit can't be that big. I just never imagined a scammer wouldn't go for the gold. If it were me, I would, but I guess it's a big world with all kinds of idiots in it.

I see the hardware discrepancy now, not familiar with this one and didn't bother to look up the specs earlier. I can't believe I missed the black nut with chrome pegs, though. Did these come with gotoh tuners? That's something else I missed.

Must be rebuilt from different parts:

Neck is defenitively from an RG350DX built in 2006
Bridge (EdgeIII Chrome) is from another one, RG09LTD and RG350DX has black hardware
Same for all the hardware.
INF1 = INF2 are neither in the RG350 nor the RG09LTD, most likely from an RG400 serie
Body seems like an RG09LTD, Basswood HH with AANJ

Honesly, both the RG350DX and the RG09LTD are "at par" for the quality, the INF1+2 are not realy an upgrade so a used RG350DX should be worth around 2-250$

So, No! Not a deal!
