Hello everyone, I was doodling on a piece of paper, trying to come up with my own guitar design, when suddenly an idea struck me: what if a guitar was constructed such that the usual H-H pickup configuration can instead be loaded with a combination of single coils and single coil-sized humbuckers on both positions? It would look like this:

Neck
| | | | | |
Neck SC
Neck HB
| | | | | |
Bridge SC
Bridge HB
| | | | | |
Bridge

Using such a configuration, I hypothesized that the neck SC would sound warmer, and the beck HB would be a bit brighter. Meanwhile, the bridge SC would be less trebly, and the bridge HB would be a bit brighter, balancing out the sound. Volume levels would be a bit more balanced since mini humbuckers' output levels are quite close to single coils'.

I'm still thinking about the switching system of this pickup config, although it might be cool to have bridge/neck sc blended sounds, or push pull knobs for the mini humbuckers.

So what do you guys think?
