so i have an air norton and air zone coming my way, planning on installing in a guitar with the petrucci wiring (neck/bridge n neck split/bridge).

The air zone will split to the slug coil and the air norton will split to the screw coil to maintain humbucking, but I know its possible to open up the humbucker and flip the magnet to reverse the polarity so I can split the air norton to the slug coil instead and still maintain bucking.

Is there a notable difference between the two coils of the air norton that would warrant considering doing this? (assuming that the coil intended to be split will be in the same position both way, if that makes sense?)

you can wired the neck pickup using the green as a hot and the red as the ground. this will be reverse of the normal. Either way there you go. You shouldn't have to flip the magnet or anything like that. if you are still concerned you can just install the pickup in reverse(with the lead of the pickup coming out of the base toward the neck side as opposed to the the lead wire coming out of the base on the bridge side)
