hi i'm an intermediate guitar player i'm getting kind boring of the tone of my amp yamaha f-20 anyway do you thing the AMT CFS wil improve my amp tone because they say it does have cabinet simulation in it or i should just get my self a pocket pod
I'm a student too. I have a similar budget to yours, so I'm essentially in the same situation as you, but from experience I've learned that buying pedals for a not-so-good (bad) amp (I have an MG100DFX) is not really the best way to go.
IMO least you can do is get an MXR 12-Band EQ and start from there.
A really cool and small tube amp is the Laney LC15. IIRC these cost new about 300euro but it is been made for over a decade, so you might get lucky and find one around your target price.
That just depends on the level of distortion you apply. You can do that with a lot of pedals, just be careful with the gain control.
