And they say Malmsteen isn't grumpy...

Sorry in advance if this counts as advertising from ****, it's not my guitar, i just found this so funny i had to post it. Delete the post if you want.

This is an auction for a JEM which was signed at G3 by Billy Sheehan, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen. Apparently, when the guy got Malmsteen to sign it he was in a bad mood.

The result being the guitar now has three signatures on it. A nice Steve Vai, a Billy Sheehan one and...
Malmsteen being himself decided that he should take his bad mood out on the poor Ibanez by writting:

"YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, 2003, PLAY FENDER!"

I just couldn't stop laughing when i was looking at this, so here it is for all you guys:

He has signed loads of Ibanez's with "Play Fender", nothing new really.
Ah, i never knew that :p
This is the first time i've seen it, i found it hilarious
Yeah it's pretty funny...you've got to admit that. But it's still sad lol...
what a role model....

you wouldnt see steve do that to a strat ;)
Hahaha that's cool... But he's always kinda grumpy
If you stick a non-Fender in front of Yngwie, that's what you get ;)

2 a T :)
But if you show a regular Strat, my guess is he'll say "buy MY signature Strat!"

Yngwie's antics have yet to bore me. :D
When I saw that it angered me about this guy! Too many stories like that with him. If it was my guitar I may have punched him or at least said something! He is a total *******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if I dislike him or his music more!
If you do punch him, he'll say "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? I AM YNGWIE FOOKIN' MALMSTEEN!!" and security will be all over you in a matter of seconds.

You would have my undying gratitude though. ;)
What a butthole.

Didn't he kick off with an air stewardess or something and say he was going to "Unleash the fury" on her or something?

The thought of some fat, old, man in spandex trying to unleash anything remotely furious is laughable in itself.
He did it before to someone else, either.

One of the bset ones is from Turkey ;)

A guy who has a pretty cheap washburn got his guitar to Yngwie. Yngwie took a look at it and drew a squire with permanent pen on middle pickup, and drew an arrow from it and wrote "Wrong" :)
:)
:)
Guy was telling me "i know it is wrong on my poor wash. but it was all i could buy :)"
I'm SURE that the guy who owns that guitar is a member here or on Vai.com and posts regularly..
Yngwie has a Jem too. In last months (or maybe the month before's) Guitar Player magazine there is a two page photo spread of Yngwie in his home studio with a Ton of guitars in the background. If you look close you'll see a Jem in there.

He got that JEM from Steve during the G3 tour. Steve got one of his Strats :).

Regards

André
IMO his signature will double the asking price of a cheap used Washburn or Ibanez to those who value signed guitars (which I never could understand).

For more expensive guitars... anyone giving a Jem over to a permanent marker gets what he deserves, ESPECIALLY when the one wielding it is as historically nutso as Malmsteen.

I find nothing but hilarity in those stories.
