Theres probably 50 threads about this already.
Chances are it will have a handle, a gaudy vine inlay, and Dimarzios.
Chances are even better if it isnt pink, yellow or green people will complain.
haha i did a search if there was a thread like this didnt find any....your right about the inlay, the DiMarzio evos, handle, claw..... what about the color i would like to see a new color in the jem line.
The next Jem will be another DNA, but this time made from a particularly impressive dump Steve took. It will list at $7000, sell out before it ships, and people will complain that it's only available in brown. It will have peanut inlays
I also remember him saying once that he thought his JEM sounded more like a Strat than a Strat. But at the same time he used a Strat on 'The boy from Seattle', so...
Hey, do you remember where you read about Steve and Fender, CosmicDebris?
This Fender Stratocaster is one of Steve's favorite guitars, and has been used throughout the years of many recordings including "Drifting" from the Jimi Hendrix tribute album "In From The Storm". It remains close to Steve's side in the studio, and has been taken on tour as a warm-up/bus guitar.
Fender Stratocaster
Serial #: S776154
The Sticker Strat was Steve's first real electric guitar. His mother bought it for him when he was 15 at Matthew's Music at Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York. It was used exclusively on early demo recordings, Frank Zappa records & tours and much of Alcatrazz. It was in safe storage for some time, but now resides in the Harmony Hut.
This guitar is used by Steve when he's seeking a real "strat" tone. It is currently being used for selected guitar parts in the recording of Steve's upcoming album.
If word gets out that Vai has an Explorer, Les Paul, PRS, and 2 Strats (real, Fender Strats) some peoples heads might blow up. He should take those off his site.
