The new peavey predators. AAA quilted maple over basswood.....they seem nice for the $$$.
Anyone played one?

Sense. This makes none.

My point is just that a cheap guitar with crappy specs doesn't really get any better for adding a 1mm maple veneer and a price hike.

Not all of it is bad. Farida make some nice instruments that are China built, for example. It comes down to the quality control.

Sadly, it IS easier to find bad chinese guitars than good ones however.
