Not endorsing the business just wanting some discussion on this rare model.
When I got my 777DY in August 1989 there were only two shops in my area that had JEMS. Guitar Center had three and a store 35 miles away had one single model. Was there a run on them around that time or something?
I wanted to get an FP model but nobody had any. My local Guitar Center had three JEMS in stock, the DY, an SK and I don't remember the third maybe the 777VBK (was that out then?). They were all shop worn from months of people coming in and trying them out. I talked GC down in price cuz mine had some very small dings, no pickup selector switch tip and two volume knobs (instead of one Volume and one Tone).
If the 7PBK had been in the showroom I sure woulda taken a hard look at it. Anyone else remember what models were out in the wild back then? I mean the guitar was being heavily advertised but at least in my area there weren't a lot in stock.
