Well, I just bought an Iphone.

Obviously the first thing to do is download a guitar app. I have seen a couple, but am wondering which is the best.

So who's tried what?

I don't want to sound like an a-hole, but I know that a lot of people don't like the Iphone and I respect your reasons, but in the context of this thread I don't want to get into a huge discussion about it. I just want to know about the apps.

Guitarist reference is good but the application i use the most is Cleartune tuner it always usefull and accurate.
You can also jailbreak your phone its very easy but only do it to put applications that are not supported or sold by apple.

if you can work out how to jailbreak the iphone, its way awesome...
every app for free :p
Oh! and by the way every app for free is called stealing.
I think it is written in the Jemsite pledge.

Great thread.
I have also been looking for guitar apps. but haven't found one that has good reviews.

HOWEVER!!!!! Download Trapster. It will tell you where all of the speed camera's, red light camera's, speed traps, and even where active cops are giving tickets.

If you are a baseball fan MLB Lite is a must.

Gool stuff.

I downloaded GuitarToolkit and have been having fun with that. It is very good actually. I have been "playing" the intro to sweet child all weekend.

That Peterson one looks good. I like the adapter cable. Anyone know where I can get it in the UK?

Definitely iStrobosoft from Peterson tuners, well worth the money. I've done a review for it for Jemsite (I've lost the email for the direct link), it should appear in the search directory soon. :)
It is a cool review, I suggest that everyone has a look. if only to learn something about tuners!

I'm also really looking into an iphone/touch so i can get one of those ear training apps and do them on the go, hmm

Some are good, others bad.

I am trying out a couple and will post a review soon. One of the ones I am using is definately having an effect.
