Just bought a 1999 RG570 with Super Wizard neck and Edge trem. I won't get it till next week. Anyone know if those had the V or IBZ pickups. It's not a big deal because I'm sure a set of Dimarzios will be comming soon, Duel Breeds and a Blue Velvet Single Coil.

Congrats. The 570s comes stock with V series pickups. I haven't really heard about the Super Wizard Neck before, so can you tell me how much it differs from the Wizard when you get it? Thanks in advance.

Super Wizard is the Bubinga-striped Wizard neck that started up in like 97. Same profile as the regular Wizard, just supposedly sturdier.

Check if it has the dark stripe of wood on the back of the neck, if it does, it's a Super Wizard.

I had a 98, GN, i grew bored with the color and sold it

It came stock with V7/V8, but sounded awesome once i put a SS/AN combo on it

Did the V pickups always have the letter V painted on them. On this guitar the two humbuckers do not have anything on them, wonder if someone put Dimarzios in it. I'll have to take a look when I get it.

Well the V pickups in my RG have V7 and V8 written on them in white, and most of the pictures I've seen of similar RGs have had V7 and V8 written on them too.
