So the other day I installed a dimarzio illuminator bridge in my 2019 ibanez rg-550. Right off the bat, I noticed that it was very bright and twangy. It sounded like a humbucker, but it had too much twang too it. I also noticed that I installed it with the slugs on the bridge side, which I did not mean to do. Also, when I go into position 2 (split bridge and middle) it sounds superrrrr thin and ice pickey. Could the pickup being backwards be the problem or not? Turing the tone knob down does help, but not enough. I was just wanting to know if y’all had any suggestions. Thanks!
