Bought a new trem arm for my lo pro edge and FIRST SHOW, my tech went to pull the arm from the guitar and the entire trem came out of the cavity after an ear broke at the knife edge. He's not heavy handed, so no idea how something this crazy could have happened.

Been looking around for a replacement baseplate and have discovered that fairy boots in lime green are easier to source. I don't have it in me to spring for an entire trem system. Any ideas for a solution?

Oops. That doesn't sound good. I may be wrong but I think a new trem is the solution. Sounds like some sort of metal fatigue. How old is it?

It's a 98 S540. I've been in touch with Rich at Ibanez Rules and he has a solution working for me. He said he'd break up a new trem and sell just the plate, or he has a complete blem bridge. Smart money is to bite the bullet and get the blem bridge, that way I'll have parts.
