Hey all,

Got a JS1CR a while ago. Been playing it quite a bit and need to clean the sweat & greasy fingerprints off it.

Just wondering if I can clean it with regular guitar cleaner ( like dunlop 654 ) and a microfiber cloth OR Do I need to clean it with something special?

Being coated in a PPF, I'm guessing the same caveats apply ... keep solvents away, particularly petroleum-based and highly volatile ones. If it's a urethane based film , solvents may yellow it over time.

I would think a water-based cleaner might be best? Rubbing alcohol? I wouldnt be using anything stronger (anyone with PPF experience/knowledge want to chime in?)

Maybe... Automotive detailer? I use that on my guitars. Some of it has carabina wax in it. But it works really well and is water based.
