Definitive JPM Wiring Diagram

Sorry for all those mislead before, it's the same post I put in a while ago, but I accidently headed it 'Definitive PGM Wiring'! Whoops!

--

Just for anyone who needs it, i've got THE definitive wiring diagram for how to wire up 2 humbuckers, JPM style, using either an original JPM-P100 type switch, the Dimarzio equivalent(#EP1111) which is slightly different, a DiMarzio/Fender 3-way tele switch or the alternative generic type tele switch where the soldering fins are in a different order.

With 5 switches, You can see why it's taken me so long to crack this nut!!

If you need it, send me a PM or email me and i'll send it to you. Only reason i'm doing it this way is because old threads tend to not show the pictures after a while so people down the line might not benefit.

I spent ages working these out with the help of various people on this forum and the guys at DiMarzio, and from my own experience I know there's a lot of people who keep enquiring about it and I found it a nightmare.

Laters,
Matt

Good day mate. I’ve been researching a lot regarding the correct wiring diagram for the JPM. And the dimarzio site doesn’t help at all. It gives me Neck(with sound) Middle (no sound) Bridge (with sound) so for sure something is wrong. I bought the exact 3 way switch from Ibanez which is the 3SW1JPM3T. Would it be possible if you can email it to me please. would really appreciate the help.

Just buy my MSM100 ;) instant JPM100 switching/layout, the only difference is it's got a TZ in the bridge :D Seriously though, thanks for contributing to the community, it really means a lot, as there is very little out there, as far as wiring diagrams for this sort of thing.

haha :) would love to get one MSM100 pretty soon. But I just got the JPM and I wanted to replace the 3 way switch with the correct to spec ibanez switch, as the one that's installed here by the previous owner is a different 3 way and more on a les paul type 3 way. 😀 I tried hooking it up based on the Dimarzio Website but still no joy, so I figured there must be some mistakes on my wiring. Might as well ask here to see if there's a correct way to solder the wires. I even researched the site but same problem as mine no sound on the center/middle position.

Wow, I always thought the DiMarzio 3 way was the correct one :( I used to have a few JPM100's back in the day, but they were all original so I never had to bother with learning the wiring. I could always snap a picture of the inside of my MSM100 as the wiring on it IS identical and should use a switch that is contemporary. Lmk if you need that

Yeah, I thought so too that what they use is the EP111 but turns out the correct spec parts for the 3 way is a 4DPT ibanez 3SW1JPM3T. Yes please, if you can send me a snap photo of it, then it would totally be a big help 😀 Really appreciate the help! Thanks a lot

Np, that's what having a community like this is all about! Also, thanks to Marco Sfogli for keeping the JPM switching layout alive all the way into 2019 :D

Here ya go, hope it helps!
Any idea if this is the exact same wiring for the DiMarzio EP1111? The schematic on the Dimarzio site is slightly different than what you posted. I have my RG wired up like the DiMarzio schematic, and it doesn't sound quite right. Wondering if their schematic is wrong, and switching to your wiring would fix my issue.

The OG schematic is here, which I think looks like mine, go off of this
