I notice a distinct difference in tone between different pickups - I find Dimarzios to be darker and more colored whereas I think Seymour Duncans seem less colored and brighter - I know that obviously depends on the model but the Tone Zone vs Duncan JB debate is a great example - the Tone Zone is darker sounding while the JB has more distinct treble and high mids - both are great pups it's just a matter of what you're looking for.

Agreed! This is what exactly what i felt. I love them both but somehow for bright sounding guitar, ibanez rg for example, i feel dimarzio has more advantage. I have duncan distortion and dimebucker on rg which i thinking to replace it with dimarzio because sometimes i just can't stand the treble.

What about bkp ? Tempted to give a shoot on the warpigs ceramic but i'm afraid it's not like my expectation.
