I thought I was going to do that with the JS1CR but I play the hell out of it instead. However I do baby it when it comes to the finish.

I have some that I rarely play. I tend to go to the same 3-4 while another 8 sit there. Nice wall decorations.

I had an RG3120 that I never played. I bought two on the same day in 2021 (one online, one on CL). The one on CL is the one I never played except for testing it out in the guy's house. I drove 7.5 hours total to buy a guitar that I did not end up playing. I sold it on Reverb last week.

Every instrument I have ever owned, was bought to be played. Whether they are played by me, or kids and grandkids.

I have one guitar that is only played on one or two songs. They are in an alternate tuning.

My RG2027XVV, I bought it a few months back, it's in basically like-new shape. I've looked at it a few times, tuned it up (so maybe that counts??), but never actually played it in any musical way. Honestly, I had one 20 years back sold it and regretted it, bought it for the nostalgia; I play 8 and 6 strings almost exclusively, haven't really fallen in love with 7's in the same way. Killer looking and feeling guitar. Toying around with the idea of selling it. The idea of having something that doesn't get played regularly kind of bugs me, a guitar like this was made to be played, and it's sort of against my moral fiber to let it go unplayed :D

A friend of mine picked up a sweet JCRG3 a few weeks back, hoping maybe I can work out a deal for his JCRG3...then again, he's already king of all things 7 string and VV, he might not care for a lowly 2027, what with as many 7CT/CST's as he's got :D

All of mine are players. Especially my Brian May. I only use it for certain songs. Usually use my LP or one of my Arias.

Several, but generally I've purchased them on the used market as NOS and I leave them NOS. Most are Ernie Ball EVH signature guitars from 1991-1996 that have made it this long without being played, but I also have several older Ibanez remaining in new condition.

I have a closet queen 1986 Ibanez PL 2660. Put away in '87 it's for sale on the marketplace. It says 1200 but it will go in the next couple months to someone with the best offer. It's a neck thru sustain monster. 1st yr edge tremelo. Treat yourself to a unicorn you won't be sorry. Email me at [email protected]

Well, while I might have anything but players, I forgot my wife. She has one that she has never played. I haven’t played it either, just a little when I restrung it.

It’s a Cordoba Coco mini. Turns out that I can now sell it back to GC for what I paid. It’s not going anywhere though. Wife loved the movie and the guitar is more of a souvenir.
