hey everyone,
I hope im posting this in the category.
I recently purchased a supposed epiphone electric guitar, strat style. I'm a little on the confused side because it has a lo-trs tremolo. It has 2 humbuckers and a single coil in the middle. The top humbucker says XH1 the single coil says XS3 the humbucker closest to the tremolo has no identifying marks. I did find that the XH-1 AND XS-3 are ibanez humbuckers
I have looked on an Ibanez site and the body resembles the RG series. Close to a RG370DX.
If anyone can help me narrow down the exact model and what year it was produced. It would help me out alot.
I have even taken the neck off of the body and have found no identifying marks. The headstock has no locking nut typical with floyd rose style tremolos, it has just the regular nut. I was kind of wondering if the body was an ibanez and the neck an epiphone.
Here's a link that has 3 pictures of the guitar.~~> http://f2.pg.briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/american_werewolf_in_georgia
Thanks for any help that you can give me.

I don't think it's RG body. Look around the body-neck joint. There's much body wood on the side of neck pocket, it's not like this on RG body. But TRS trem retrofits FR derivates, so maybe the original owner changed it ('cause he was thinking TRS is better? :).
But take the neck off and have a look on neck pocket, there should be stamped model number if it's original RG body.

hey everyone,
thank you for all of your replies. It is greatly appreciated. I have looked at every crevice of the body to find SOME KIND of indentifying mark but I've found nothing. The neck plate isnt even on there. At this point I have no idea what to do. I seriously think it is an rg series Ibanez. The guitar itself sounds great but the neck issue has me up in arms. Would anyone have any idea how I would go about getting a neck for this guitar?
thanks

That looks like an EX body to me...an RG-style body with rounded edges and a 22-fret neck. I'm almost certain those pickups are correct to the EX guitars. I imagine any 22-fret neck with a standard heel would work. You could look around for an old Saber or Radius neck...there's usually a few on **** at any given time.
