So there are a lot of great bands and musicians out there but some don't get the recognition they probably deserve. A couple of my favorites that i never hear any one else mention are Mutiny Within, and Andy Woods.

Post some of your most underrated/least recognized artists.

Vigilante

Finally got to see them live the other night. I've been talking to the singer by email for almost 2 years but they are a pretty minor band over here in Japan. they are a thrash band but they are VERY different. some of the chord progressions I heard from them would never be heard in Thrash from the US. Also, the singer used to sing in a King Diamond cover band so he can hit falsetto notes.

No shredalicious underground stars here but how these people are not held in higher regard will always be a mystery to me.

Martina Topley-Bird - sumptuous female voice - with QOTSA & Lanegan approved backing!
https://soundcloud.com/independiente%2Fmartina-topley-bird-need-one Richard Hawley - what a voice and touch with songwriting.
https://soundcloud.com/ Cherry Ghost - phenomenal writing, lyrics and musicianship. If I took just one album to a desert island it would be a Cherry Ghost album.

Queen Adreena was a neat band in the early 2ks that grabbed my ear. No "shredding" in the music, but still great.

I think they're getting recognised more and more.

I mean, they're both releasing signature models next year (Ola with Washburn, and Keith with Schecter). But I've found that if people don't watch youtube vid's, they won't have heard of them.
