My guitar neck (Ibanez RG2550) has some scratches and dents, etc. I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on how to fix this.

Thank you

what kind of scratches are we talking about here?

Not rediculously long or deep. Just like scratches on the clear coat (i hope). I'm kind of anal about scratches on the neck. Anytime I play it, it irritates me that it's not perfectly smooth and i can feel scratches. I'm just one of those people. :p (I don't buy the "it adds character" type deal.)
If you are talking about on the back of the neck, just buff it down with some 0000 steel wool.

Yeah, I'm talking about the back of the neck.
wet sand it with 1500 grit paper than buff it out with auto paint swirl remover and it will look as new if it's not too deep. If it's deep, fill it with superglue first then sand and buff.

What everyone else suggested.... IMO, that's a bit overkill...

Sand it down and oil the neck.

It wont look scratched, and it will play better.
