K guys, been VERY bust playin' this bad boy (this guitar is gonna spoil my experience on a lot of other guitars). To answer a few questions,I paid $825 for it on that auction site (it's in near perfect shape) hardly played, there was just a little chip in the clearcoat where they are normally on these guitars(neckjoint),otherwise not a scratch or nick on her.frets looked almost virtually untouched.I'll have to wait till my friend come over with camera to post pics (dont own a digital camera). One other thing that kinda bothers me that i read on alot of sites. When people ask about Jems and whether or not they should purchase one,a lot of people write back and suggest to just buy an RG and change the pickups and you just about have the equivalent of a Jem.I dont know bout that, while waiting for the Floral to arrive I went and tried a few Rg's and I absolutely hated em',as a matter of fact i was kinda bummed thinkin that if the Jem was anything like the rg's I tried I was just gonna get rid of it.When it arrived thank god it was nothing like the rg's i tried. Are there certain models that are closer to the Jem,because i know the ones i tried are not even in the same league (i mean not even close!).Anyways ive owned everything from strats to Les Paul customs and everything in between, and honestly nothing plays like one of these babies! It just sings, and ive never had a neck that played so effortlessly.A lot of my friends are more into the "traditional" guitars (as was I).Ive let a few of them try out the Jem and when they picked it up to play it there reaction was priceless! like i said i now know what all the fuss over these guitars are about, these Jems can be addictive i think (already like to get another) But till then i'll just enjoy this one immensely..............Great to be part of the Jem community (hadnt known what i was missin' all these years!)........
