i got given a free gibson smart wood studio guitar! it looks and plays beautifully. i got it cos it was the guitar made by gibson for the smart wood campaign. when the campaign was over, the guitar was put in a store cupboard. six years later my dad found it and offered to 'look after it' in loveing hands (aka -mine)
im sooooooo lucky!

i dont have a digital camera ;( but this is what the stock photo looks like. ive got no leaf pattern on the headstock tho.. mine was a prototype model, made so that gibson could prove that they could make quality instruments out of sustainable hardwoods.

i too have difficulty keeping my *hands* off it .
tho i dont have any experience with gibsons, it sounds lush, no extremes and is my number one guitar for recording.
