Ok, I've decided I need another guitarist in my band. He/she will have to play 7-string, have to be local to my area and be mature in his/her playing to understand their role in the band and play the stuff pretty much as is.

If anyone fits the criteria or knows anyone who would fit the bill, please let me know.

Thanks.

Dave

Poop on a stick, why couldn't you live in Orlando? I am just finishing the work on my converted custom fixed-bridge 7-string (which started life as a black RG7621) and the only guitar I've been playing for the last two weeks anticipating my custom's completion is my Universe. I'm slowly getting overly used to the 7-strings that I almost feel like I'm missing something when I play my 6's.

*Grrr...*

I coulda been a contenda...

P.S... You can hear samples of my work with my previous band in these two links. No solos in this stuff, and it was done on my six strings in CGCFAD tuning.

Dave,
Thank you for posting and being an honest guy giving us mortals something to get excited about.
If I were 25 years younger I'd be your guy- but you'd probably boot me out for my spanish-style playing after awhile!
(Although you did like my CD).

Hope you fill the position quickly and I pray that person realizes how fortunate they will be.

Is it quirky to have a random Asian girl playing shred with no distortion and mild reverb as your partner guitarist... I think I'd like to move down to PA just so I can force my way into the Dave Weiner band (brute force, in the friendly manner.)

Hey Dave i live in Mt. Penn on the east side of Reading. I'd like to say im very good but i am no bragger. In fact my cousin recently talked to you he works for Linclon Plumbing and i was told that he did a job at your house in west lawn. He said you a hell of a nice guy. I play guitar in fact thats all i do. I havent played a 7 string but i do play alot of low tuned stuff so i could. I'd like a response even if you dont consider me for the job. just e mail me at

Thanks for your time

P.S. even if you dont consider me i would love to meet you sometime and we do both live in Reading, PA
