Hi all.

I am a long time Ibanez player but I don't know anything about amps and pedal!

I got some budget now and I want to archived a pure death metal sound!

Typical sound are hard to describe ! the very very very very dry and aggressive tchak a tchak... of the 6 sting on muffing.

How to I obtain that?

Witch amp and disto I need to do this?
If you need an example. "Take this life" by "In Flames" 2006 will do

Please help! I know how to play but not how to render!

p.s. I got Emg's 81/85 on a lot of my Ibanezs.

You should have posted this in the Gear section but I'm gonna flat out tell you to get a 5150 or 6505. Same amp (pretty much) and that's what In Flames use as well as bands like Quo Vadis, Enslaved, Arch Enemy and Kreator.

Take your guitar to some local shops and try everything out. There are tons of high gain amps that can get you in that neighborhood.

Yeah, the 5150/6505 is definitely the one for you.

You might also want to consider and Engl Fireball if you have a bit more cash.

I really dig the high gain on all the VHTs, more aggressive and less fizzy to my ears. If you have no use for cleans try a VHT Deliverance. It has awesome gain, but is a single channel amp.

TX Guys!

I check out 6505 /5051 specks, samples and stuff. WOW i might do it!!! That's what I want.

I have looked for a used one (6505 head) but the are still 1000 or 1200$.

You seams to know this stuff!
Is there anything less expensive? ( don't tell me bandit 112)
What about the valve king?

Fell free to speak and advice me, I am a good player but a bad consumer! I always buy crappy stuff!

But the 6505 sound perfectly! just maybe a little expensive and hard to find on Montreal used stuff site.

You might want to try a Peavey XXX as well. And maybe an Engl (SE, Savage, Powerball), although they are definately not cheap!

very Tx all.

But the 6505 5051 is exactly what I always wanted.

I guess I'm ganna have to be patient and wait for a used one at 700$ 800$ or so.
Think it will be the wise move to do!

I let you know how happy I am as soon I found one.

I ganna time time on this site for those advice. Help new player.

You can easily get one for that much. You just have to be patient. If it helps I had to wait 2 months just so I could find a single Mesa Tremoverb, and that didn't come cheap. :)
