Hey, i'm in the market for a Jem77BFP, and out of the couple on E Bay right now, there's one im particularly interested in. I really don't know how to tell a fake from a legit jem so i'm looking for a bit of help.

I know enough that these were only made from 1991-1994, so the fact that the guy is guessing its an 1988 is showing some ignorance to the instrument, but the serial starts with 91 so im guessing its a 1991 model...

Anyways, the item number is 380113940334, if anyone could loan a few minutes to it I would appreciate it.

as far as the instrument itself, it looks legit; normal body shape, real lo-pro, logos etc.

i'm guessing the guy's just got the date wrong.

you can tell it's not a fake, too much filler in the inlays lol seriously tho, the headstock is peeling by the looks of it, if IF it comes off in 1 piece it's an easy repair, if not you'll just have to refin it black as the material rips :(

Good luck, and pull the trigger ;)
