I got a 92 RG550 in Candy Apple Red a few years ago, mainly because I always wanted one when I was a teenager. I didn't play it that much since I am more into straight ahead jazz, but I am in a fusion kick lately so I have been practicing this kind of stuff.

So I decided to pull out the RG550 and mod it.

I want to upgrade the pickups to a DiMarzio Air Norton/Tone Zone set, add a strap lock, get a new pickguard and change the knobs.
I wanted to get the new pickups in pink, as Rob Marcello has done to his in that old school shred video but I have been debating to get them in blue too.
Adding a white DiMarzio straplock, and either changing the knobs to white or blue or something or leave them black.

So I would like to see what you guys have done to your RG550s, especially those Candy Apple Red ones, or your recommendations.

I would put cream or white, but if you want colour why not red or red-black combo.

I played a bit with photoshop and this is what I came up with.

The RG builder doesn't work anymore, I actually abused it too back in the day.

The question is, white, black or blue DiMarzio strap?

I'd put on a white strap with that combo

Looks like it only works with internet explorer. Won't work with chrome or firefox, must be something to do with shockwave.

I got a blue one and dark blue volume and tone knob to try too.
